I'll check it out but I have my doubts. I think Mike Epps is ok and have no problems with him. But John candy is a legend and it's gonna be hard for him to step into that role. Maybe he proves me wrong and does great. He does have that lovable goof personality so it might help him. We'll have to wait and see.

Progress isn't always overnight breh. The fact that empire was a hit snd made studios and casting directors decide that a show like uncle buck now needs to feature a black family or even Morris Chestnut's new show is cool to me. To go from a position where it's thought to be hard to sell black faces to now you've got studios making it a priority is a good sign. Plus there's nothing wrong with a show like Black-ish and I'm giving this a chance just off name value alone. You can't go from barely any representation to being well represented overnight

Again, not saying it's perfect breh but studios don't look at it and say "oh it's a soap or its exploitive" they're simple and they see black casts with ratings so lets copy that. Uncle Buck isn't copying the empire format neither is rosewood or blackish but the point is, they're being made. That allows for more black voices to be heard

I'm watching it now, I've gotten a few legit laughs. It's hard seeing Mike Epps & Regina Hall uncensored but I'll take it. I was when he pulled off & Regina said 'it's not shapewear b*tch!'


I personally inserted bytch cause it's the best fitting cuss word. I'm a big fan off Epps & Midwest/Chicago acts. Hope it goes well. Besides, I need a black sitcom to fill my void of the Charmichale show til it comes back.
