Metacritic keep changing lol. One minute it's 94/95 etc.
Either way, general consensus is it's the best Uncharted game period. It not having a 96 is meaningless. UC2 in 2009's impact is different from a refined and next gen iteration of the same game.

looks like u4 is going to be 92-5. So apparently a lot of reviewers criticize the pacing and set-pieces but praise the story.

it really doesn't matter honestly. GTA 4 has a 98. GTA V has a 97. Timing is different. What's a 97 back then isn't a big deal today. The Uncharted collection got a 86 Metacritic. In 2009 UC2 was crazy. In 2016 it's just merely good. Once a game is in the 92+ threshold, it's a wash to really trip over numbers.

fukk, the graphics are fukking insane man. Sony gonna have a hard time convincing folks that PS4 NEO is needed with these gfx.

Technology will outdate it sooner or later but it’s the unparalleled craftsmanship that makes Uncharted 4 one of the most astonishing visual experiences in all gaming. Although it helps that it also plays pretty well too…

....a pseudo open world section that looks so incredible you’d swear it was running on a PlayStation 5, and what we consider to be one of the greatest video game action sequences ever made.

From the perspective of both technical achievement and art direction Uncharted 4 is absolutely stunning. We’ve no idea, or interest, in how the game is able to generate such visuals but the experience of playing through it borders on the surreal.
