Not all doctoral degrees lead to a professional license to practice. There are simply doctoral researchers also known as research scientists who usually have positions as assistant professors, lecturers and instructors and conduct research through an academic or research institution (they are usually both however). It’s highly unusual for someone to be get a PhD in clinical psychology, counseling, educational (aka school), etc. without getting their license. It’s a waste of time. 4+ years and a dissertation along with predoctoral and post-doctoral internship.They’re highly competitive because they’re entirely free, you get a financial package to teach/research/study and you technically become an employee and a student of your academic institution. It’s a full time job. You get a package of 24-30k the first year and significantly more as time goes on in your doctoral journey. A computational biologist, molecular biologist, neuroscientist, astrophysicist, mathematician etc etc dont need a license. They’re research scientists and academicians, but have to live up to certain standards of their institution. The basically fight for tenure, go from assistant professor to associate professor. If what they sayin is true then Umar a weirdo for spending 5 years on that shyt for nothing.

It’s impossible to get a doctorate in that specialty without completing predoctoral hours. I thought he did a doctorate in educational psychology, now its clinical psychologist? That shyt don’t make sense. They two different specialties. You can’t work in a school as a psychologist if you specialized in clinical psychology.

Bruh. This is embarrassing. How could you even reach out to this dude? You couldn't tell he was janky?I have personally reached out to him for consultation of youth family members and have had others reach out to him. He has picked up his phone and provided very good information. He is knowledgeable. Me personally, I didnt donate to the school. I just dont really donate to much because I just dont trust a lot of stuff, it wasnt against him personally. I stopped checking for him because I wasnt into the all the videos and posting going at or responding to others. I just think he doesnt know how to control his emotions and that comes off as immature especially surrounding the context of what he is trying to get accomplished.
Still, its like Neely Fuller says....its a play on goddamn words and yeah a lot of nikkas in here is sounding like cacs. The cacs made this system. Umar is operating within that system so he has to be careful of how he presents himself. I may not rock with him like that, but I aint out here trying to go hard to prove that he has a certificate instead of a license. As many dirty fukkin cacs out here pullin bullshyt everyday, why is this nikkas preoccupation? The internet movement of the conscious community is like every thing else that ever started out for good and gone bad. All I see and here now is nikkas arguing and beefing with each other.
Theres tons of black clinicians out there. Umar is not the business for that.
