It's an old city where some houses are older than America. They do have several nice direct airport connections to central London whereas NYC has 0. But otherwise I would say NYC has better infastructure.
Easy to have better infrastructure when you had the chance to completely plan and rebuild after WW2. Looking at NYC's infrastructure, what you're seeing is a series of bandaids resulting from concessions from all parties (well except for us 
) to move things just a little bit forward.
