100% true. Built a country around cars being able to get around instead of people.
I live in Ohio and it’s so bad out here they just started adding sidewalks to a bunch of roads this year. If you cant drive they gon make everything difficult for you until you do
What they started doing here in Seattle is closing off residential streets. So unless you live in that street, they want to limit road traffic and keep it relegated to pedestrians and bicyclist.
And in the summers, they block entire avenues and blvds. Our chief of transportation here ain't shiit; it's corrupt as hell (our license tabs are calculated by the value of your vehicle at MSRP and not current market value and then a percent of that.
Short story short, I used to pay two hundred-ish for my tabs prior to 2016.
Then that shiit passed and it doubled overnight.
Now that I drive something slightly higher in value... my tabs are now $1200 a year.
Live in the Emerald City brehs.
And you wanna compare potholes? Well, we allocate our budget to homeless people and the corrupt politicians pocket the rest, so now you're driving like it's involuntary hydraulics because there's a massive gaping bump/hole in pavement every other street.
