Yea, this shouldn't even be debated. The Underground is hands down one of the best I've personally taken in the world.

NYC's Metro is the best in the US in terms of scale and connectivity, DC's Metro is also up there as well.

The underground is clean, easy to navigate, and connects very very well with the Bus system.

Here's what I say with regards to the US and the UK.

In the UK it's easier to get on, but harder to really move up. Whereas in the US it's harder to get on but when you do get on, you can get it big.

The London Underground was truly an experience, that's the best way I can describe it :wow: Even their bus system was efficient asf too.

The issue with infrastructure in America has less to do with taxes and more to do with the fact that the way we have designed our cities makes maintaining them too expensive.

Increasing taxes is one way to generate revenue to address the problem but it’s not a sustainable solution long term. Eventually the property taxes just get way too high for anyone to afford.

It isn’t just NYC. It’s every city.
Americas development is a joke :mjlol:

Segment towns into business and residential sectors, so now everyone needs a car because businesses are all on the opposite side of town. Eventually, the streets and traffic becomes ridiculous. Can’t bike anywhere. The list of stupidity goes on.

London Underground was first operational in 1863. And It wasn't rebuilt after WW2. Expanded, sure, but not rebuilt.

And the NYC system was 'completed' in 1940. Never suffered wartime damage, and hasn't been renovated nearly to the extent the London system has. You're basically comparing a 100-year old house with a couple recent additions to a 150-year old house that suffered extensive damage and was refurbished 80 years ago.

Hate to say but that British breh is right. :francis:

London Underground is significantly cleaner and more efficient than the NY subway. And the museum comparison is just depressing.

Americans been brainwashed on the idea of the US being the greatest country in the world. That idea is just now starting to wear off on Gen Z and young millenials.

I think it's more of a culture shock for an American to move to UK/Canada than the other way around, especially if they are conservative. UK/CAN residents already consume a lot of our media

Pretty much...

Im confused. Despite the high taxes, New York still shyts on UK in every category.

Better food
Better women
More cultures
Better weather
Better scenary
More tourists
More activities.

So what are we talking about again?

The underground isnt 24 hours like NYC's and it's much more expensive

But it’s cleaner and better connected with the buses. NYC is a 24 hr city, London isn’t.

DC is light years behind LA.... The fact that you pay based off how far you ride

DC Metro works efficiently only for the fact because the city is set up in a grid...and is only 68 sq mi.

Idk about light years behind. At the end of the day, the DC metro covers most of the city which is what you want from public transportation. No way you could go without a car in LA. You can in DC.

And despite a lacking transportation system, racism, and taxes, 99% of the coli would still choose to live in New York.:mjlol:
