The people that started UK drill (Stickz, Mdargg & Grizzy) were influenced by NLMB and Gherbo music. You can hear it in a lot of their music from 2013 - 2015. Their gang is even called 150 and used to go by roc block at one point. So basically UK drill was influenced by Chicago drill and then New York drill was influenced by UK drill.

That's 100% wrong.
Dismantle what? @tuckdog :jbhmm:
What is "their" swag? "A uk trip"? No, that's a Kooda B/Woo dance, brother. When did Kooda go to England? :ohhh:
Now please, tell me what "their" swag is :jbhmm:
OH MY GOD, IS THAT AN L BEAT?
Yes, it is.
Where's he from?
Chicago.
UK kids making a song called Chicago about nikkas listening to Chicago, 6 years ago, with a drill producer (from? Look above this sentence)
"oh but they put their own spin" :ehh:
:wow: Yeah, the story of ADOS musical interaction with the Caribbean and UK.

You doing the most 808 melo took a trip to nyc to go link up with them back in 2018/2017

so pop smoke was mos definitely uk influenced seeing as he got his beats from a Uk producer. nikkas like lying to themselves everyday on this app.

edit: @Father you really doing the most itt Caribbean and African music is literally the basis of Uk rap. You can say once the 808 and trap hi hats entered their side they adopted some American customs but if you largely listen to their music it’s all Caribbean and African inspired.

and most of that "caribbean and african music" was already US inspired.
I just put a wholly Chicago sounding UK drill song in the post.
You can be proud of being African or Caribbean all you want. The influence doesn't flow in the direction you want.

yeah American influence is there but it’s not pronounced, you’re acting like it was solely the driving force when that alone is a fallacy when it’s actually a summation of a bunch of other things

and those other things were also AFRICAN AMERICAN influenced.
There is no escape from it and I can show you the whole timeline of the development.
A constant cycle of "let's go back to the US and update what we already bit + add congas" or "we're continuing and updating a dead trend in the US so it's ours now"
