'Even Dr Goebbels had a research PhD': Fury as Cambridge academic compares race commission chair Tony Sewell to Nazi propagandist - after being caught out wrongly questioning his credentials
Dr Priyamvada Gopal, 53, likened Dr Tony Sewell - who oversaw the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities - to Adolf Hitler's propaganda chief.

The postcolonial studies professor had earlier asked if she was right to think the 62-year-old was 'not in fact Dr'.
She continued her attack on him by questioning where his degree was from and what research he undertook for it.
She later conceded he did hold a doctorate - a PhD from Nottingham University - but made the bizarre reference to Goebbels.
Dr Gopal wrote: 'Okay, established. It is, in fact, Dr Sewell. Fair enough. Even Dr Goebbels had a research PhD. (University of Heidelberg, 1921).'
Social media users were shocked by the comment and asked why she would make the comparison.
Former ITV News presenter Alastair Stewart OBE said: 'This is obscene and devalues anything and everything you have to say.'
Researcher and analyst Kyle Orton wrote: 'To introduce the Nazi insinuation in a tweet admitting that your previous accusation was a lie is quite special.
'Also revolting and contemptible. But it is Gopal and it is Thursday, so has to be expected.'
LBC journalist Matthew Thompson added: 'Honestly. Whatever criticisms you might have of the report, what an utterly disgraceful thing to tweet.'

This man put his trust in the people who stabbed Corbyn in the back when he had a legitimate chance of taking the government.
The only reason to vote Labour right now is 'they aren't the Tories' which in itself is a horrible reason to vote for anyone.
Piss poor.
One more thing, I would have respected Starmer more if he had come out and said "I am glad to see the back of Corbyn, but the people who actively did nothing but scorn him while he was the leader will not be welcome in any administrative or executive capacity, as they not only undermined the Labour Party, but they helped to plot the direction this country is going in by their apathy."
He would have kept young people energised and folks would have seen he was a man of conviction.
Right now he is just wishy washy. Someone who is forgotten quickly.

I didn't like Jeremy Corbyn and I don't like Keir Starmer. Both are terrible. The UK's Labour Party needs a whole new class of leadership. The current generation of leaders are
