Not at all. His was very well matched for someone with only 4 MMA fights coming in to the UFC. He wasn't coddled at all.I don't like that fukkboy Weidman but he's fighting who he's been assigned to? Don't think he's protected.
Now his ascent to his initial title shot is questionable.
Maybe you can say he wasn't 'deserving' but that had a lot to do with pretty much every other contender having suffered losses and Weidman being the only guy on a streak.
