Aljo winning was great and him calling for a role on Power afterwards was good stuff glad he got to rub peoples noses in it since people been giving him the amount of shyt they have been online

Khamzat can still do the “I kill everybody” schtick imo because he accepted and embraced the fact he was in a dog fight and didn’t act like a jerk towards Gilbert afterwards.

He needed to be tested to shake off the possible stigma of being a front runner / hype train and he was tested last night because he had to dig. Usman would Darren Till him currently so they would be best to give him Colby

Some VERY close fights - I had:

2-1 Khamzat
3-2 Aljo

"Khamzat aura is shattered" :mjlol: dude is 27 and just walked down a #2 - 35 year old Gilbert Burns :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Anyone who knows/watches/understands MMA knows this dude is the future.

You are right for sure. But I also think there is a valid reason for people saying that. Kahamzat now knows he's not invincible. Confidence is a big part of his game he shoots on guys at times when he feels there is no threat of getting clipped amd dropped. That is now gone. He now knows he needs to be a bit more careful. This in the long run may change the way he fights from here on out. His chin has also been fresh up until this point. Every chin starts to fade the more damage it takes. So next time he gets clipped may have more impact now as well. Will be interesting to see how things go from here.

I thought burns won by a hair, but looking at the difference in body language near the end of the fight, I'm not too mad with the decision.

Same guy I posted before. Does breakdowns of deciding rounds in close fights:

(29) ROBBERY?!! Who REALLY Won? (Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan 2) - YouTube

imo, the real robbery is not a single Judge scored rd 2 a 10-8.

But Ive been saying for YEARS now that 10-8's should be giving out more often. And 10-7's should be a thing.

IMO even if you gave Yan the 1st rd, Sterlings dominate 2nd rd should be worth more. No way should those rds be valued the same. Hell, Im even good on there being 10-10 Rounds. How can a fight end in a draw (I know its rare) but a single round cant (unless a points been taken)???

So, If I had to rescore, using my system, it would go like this:

Rd 1 10-10 draw
Rd 2 10-8 Sterling
Rd 3 10-9 Sterling
Rd 4 9-10 Yan
Rd 5 9-10 Yan

Final : 48-47 Sterling

Dana just don’t like outspoken black fighters to win. :mjpls:

Round 2-3 were clearly for Aljo. 2 was dominant, i’ve seen less dominant rounds get called 10-8.

Round 1 was close, but i don’t even see how you give that to yan. Neither did much damage. Aljo was more active and landed more. What the hell did Yan do to deserved that round? Especially being the title contender?

Aljo won that fight, fare and square.

Khamzat needs to fight Leon and Colby, he did good last night but obviously was not as dominating as previously. Currently as is I don't think he beats Colby and for sure not Usman. Hopefully his team learns and adjust after last night

This right here, I don't know how they didn't score that as a 10-8 even after they rephased what constitutes a 10-8 round(damage/control)
