Translating everything accurately in a regular environment can be challenging. Trying to do it with thousands of people screaming at you and the emotion of an arena after a big fight is a tough ask. Those guys get wait too much s#it.

I'm not mad at this take, but also as a massive BJJ nerd and a grappler, I always appreciated Maia's ability to push a one dimensional game farther than anyone has through so many years of modern MMA.
I think Charles is a much more well rounded fighter, but I always loved that Maia was basically able to do what Royce Gracie did but against a more evolved row of opposition.
I'll love Maia's one dimensional gamer for life, but I definitely agree with you too.

said it earlier, but Julianna taking the title from boring ass Nunes is great for women's MMA .... now the UFC has two very marketable, female stars as champions (Valentina / Julianna) ....
He knows Do Bronx comes from the slums and I think they mentioned how Oliveira does a lot for the areas of Brazil where he's from. Very dope on Dustin's part to do that after taking a bitter loss.
