Khama Worthy +650, that’ll be the biggest upset for a while.

Didn’t know he fought just the week before. Casey Kenney did similar to Ray Borg. Guys with nothing to lose getting that 4 day notice, fresh off a win. In some ways the advantage goes to them, not their opponents who had a full camp but was expecting someone else. Viviane Araujo recently did it to Talita Bernardo as well.

I’ll bet devonte regrets letting Khama summon him for a hug the four different times he did so at media day.

And Cormier....spent a decade with such discipline then threw it all away to trade with a rock headed brute. His corner screaming “MIX IT UP!” and him not responding was something I never expected to see.

Stipe Miocic KOs Daniel Cormier for UFC Heavyweight Title

They were begging me to wrestle, and that’s probably the most disappointing is I didn’t do what I was training to do, and I feel like I let my coaches down,” Cormier said Saturday night after being knocked.

[...]

“I think when you start finding success and landing things, you just kind of fall in love with it,” Cormier said. “It feels like the (Alexander) Gustafsson fight all over again, when I wrestled a lot in the first round, and the last four rounds I just didn’t.

“They were begging me to do it then, but tonight I actually paid the ultimate price for not listening to my coaches. Usually, I’m pretty good at doing that.

“I was hitting him, and I could see him getting marked up, and I think you fall in love with the visuals of a guy’s face getting marked up.”

I think people are digging at DC for standing up too much when he has being ridiculously efficient is bit harsh. He was getting suckered in when the 4th started.

Stipe was deep in a hole and came out with a game changing adjustment that no thought he had in him Stip deserved a lot of credit, because DC was cruising to a win on the score card and MMA fighters don't pull that off. So, I personally can't fault DC game plan.

He was doing solid. He was sooo gassed after the 2nd. I don't think he had the strength to wrestle Stip.

Still a fantastic fight with so many close calls and head shots.

Respect.

And me personally.... I’m not trynna go hard at him. I’m pointing out only what he said himself

He didn’t admit to being gassed or feeling weaker or that Stipie was stronger.

He’s staying that he went away from his gameplan or what he trained for and didn’t listen to his coaches.

He said he got too comfortable with his hands and just stuck with that since he saw he was tagging him and bruising his face up

If that’s the man’s only assessment.... I just have to go with that

1. DC should retire
2. Romero a beast, just unsure how long he wants to keep fighting young lions for the title
3. Diaz loses to Ferguson and Masvidal
4. Stipe vs Ngannou II looks real interesting
5. Jones has to worry about the young lions at 205, not DC
