Did you watch the fight?

Even before Miesha won with that last takedown, she wasn't "going for it"...Her entire strategy was "I hope I get a takedown"...

Basically, she used the Ryan Bader vs Anthony Johnson strategy the way it was suppose to be used...Don't initiate, Be patient, And hope you get a takedown...

If I was an MMA coach, I will tell Holly "this girl isn't doing anything but sitting and waiting for TD, don't give it to her, do the same thing she is doing...Sit and wait for her to work for that TD...If she decides to come forward, stick and move...If she doesn't, she runs out of time, and you are already winning fight"...

Holly beat herself...Miesha is UNCONVINCING...That's why the UFC didn't want her getting another title shot...They see what I am seeing in Miesha...She is an "accidental championship"...

Miesha beating Holly Holm is like Matt Cera beating GSP...Fluke...And time will prove me right...She won't have a single title defense and she won't win the title again...I will be surprised and bow down to her if she proves me wrong...
Incorrect on so many levels.

Um...she could of moved better...I don't think Meisha can touch her if she moves like she usually does.....worked a jab and kept her off her ...she allowed for that to get that close. So it ended badly..we'll see how she adapts in the next go around.
The jab had nothing to do with what gave her an L. Those kicks were the main thing keeping Tate from that specific takedown. The jab was working - but Tate actually moves her head and knows real footwork. Got the punch she wanted, ate it, and rode it home.
Incorrect on so many levels.
I'm saying :francis: all that bullshyt really just prevents you from learning real stuff.

Anyone who compares Meisha's approach to Ronda's is not tracking. "Stick and move" too... may as well go to a game and yell "get to the paint". Like shyt is ever that simple.

its not about height more than it is body type. Nate is tall but hes lanky, he's a small 170, and there's no 165, so he has to go to 155. Aldo is short and stocky but how does he look compared to Conor or Pettis, like a midget. Conor's body type is 155, he's bigger than RDA ffs!!!!! When Edgar gets him on the mat and makes him look like a calf whats going to happen because if he moves to 155 where Nate is, he's going to get slapped around by RDA, Nate, Khabib, Pettis, Ferguson. pff
aldo was if champ for awhile and many ppl considered him a beast. Mcgregor fukked him up. What's Edgar do? Lay and pray? If it stays sanding Connor will show his boxing skills(and yes I know Frankie is a great boxer) but I'm still not buying it. But I'm sure Connor will want to fight sooner rather then later. So we shall see. And Connor will be working on that ground game(unless he is dumb as shyt) his weakness is definitely that.

Just watched it. Wtf fight were you guys watching Connor was giving him that work till about 2 mins left in the second rd he started to that damn Anderson silva defense shyt(which is none) and then he got tagged and it cost him. I will never understand why dudes do that. :what:You're bound to lose once Bc of it. Hopefully he learns his lesson.

Giving Nate that work? :mjlol:
Diaz brothers are known for eating shots like that, especially Nate......both bro's got rock chins & Connor was trying to throw those KO shots with no effect on Nate. You must get confused bc of the blood.....Diaz bro's live for that shyt in the ring. Connor played right into Nates gameplan.......threw so much at Nate in that 1st round, but didn't do a fukking thing bc his power doesn't translate to that weight class.
As an earlier poster said.......Nate found his range in the 2nd, Connor kept trying to throw big shots with no effect & got so frustrated (plus those 1-2s from Nate were landing quite nice) he tried to go to the ground.......:no:with a Gracie BJJ blackbelt. Only one outcome from there bruh :yeshrug:

Lay Praynard uppercuts were lighting Frankie up, Conor will take his head off, I too don't buy it that Frankie will beat Conor standing.

I know who the Diaz Bros are. So you thought Nate won that first rd? How? Nate was getting punched a lot. And Nate hit CM with a lot of shots before he even got phased. And Connor still kept swinging. When Connor took him down I knew it was over though. Nates way better than a lot of dudes on the ground. I just hope Connor learns from this to become the best fighter he can. You need a ground game in the UFC. Point blank.

Fairly entertaining ppv, the defending champs made mistakes by not playing to their strengths (striking and keeping distance) and wanted to grapple with grapplers, which was their ultimate undoing.

Those shots might look nice for the scorecards/audience, but no way it was going to the cards & that's the way those Diaz boys fight......tough as fukk.
Where did I say/imply Nate won the 1st round? Im saying that 1st round played into the usual Diaz gameplan.......Did all those landed shots matter? Nope, bc Diaz lives for getting hit like that.....false sense of security for his opponent & an ego-maniac like Connor kept doing it in the 2nd round bc he thought 1 of those prior/similar shots would have an effect.....Nate knew Connor couldn't knock him out by the 2nd & Connor played right into his hands by getting frustrated at the stand-up battle & TRIED TO BRING A BJJ MASTER TO THE GROUND bc of that frustration..........What are you not getting?

I'm taking nothing away from Connor overall, but that was a blueprint for a Diaz fight/win.

With Tate winning, it actually HELPS the UFC in terms of the next few women's fights.......
  • Rousey gets a shot at Tate (sorry Rousey haters, she has her # so probably subs Miesha.......again)
  • Sets up the big-money Rousey/Holm rematch for the title @ UFC200 (best case scenario for UFC is Holm wins)
  • THAT sets up the Holm/Tate rematch for the belt
Obviously this is overlooking any other notable female contenders, but those 3 have the big $$$$ storylines/rivalries built in Dana loves to push/exploit......

Not saying that's how it should/will go down, but just my quick thoughts on the top of that division in the next few months :ohhh:
