I love Wu as much, or more, than any nikka on here and I agree with every single word in this post. Rep.
I said in a post in the Mics and Men thread a few days ago that any other contemporary RZA had would have done every single member of the Clan so dirty it would be disgusting. The members like U-God or Rae, who complain the most, just have to know that a nikka like Puffy or Suge or Russell would have did them so dirty they would have wanted to kill them. I'm fukking tired seeing these nikkas getting on interviews and shytting on RZA every chance they get. Imagine them signed to Birdman and walk into his office demanding to get out of their contract and he just release them just because he got love for them
They signed to anyone else in the beginning and this is what their interviews would sound like now.
Crying like jada and making threats about dropping fridges on nikkas and making shirts like “let U-God go”. They have no idea how fukking lucky they are.
He really could have been if he dropped a solo album around the solo runs between 94 and 96. Ya can say what you want about him but ugod could have been a star. Give him some good beats to fit his voice and style and he'd have s classic. Him, Deck and Killa had potential classic albums should have been made but that flood happened and other shyt as well.
Not on Iron Flag for me, but definitely on 8 Diagrams & A Better Tomorrow, and his last 2 albums

Id much rather have a true deck/ugod album in 98 over rza working with black knights, killarmy, northstar. Bobby digitAl woulda came out better for it too. Coming off forever i was expecting those guys to be next. Never mind the 5 years after he did nothing for them... while Cilvaringz got better/more rza beats than ugod and deck COMBINED.
Ugod made the statement. Im not gonna say “hes bitter, owes rza,should he happy, lucky” or “hes wrong” about his own life. Idk why it bothers you that i am attempting to empathize with his situation.. even while letting it known i myself dont totally agree wit him.
What i do know is ugod has supported every wu album to the fullest pretty much. He and deck was out there saying rza back to form for 8d, and rae and ghost (whats that like 3rd fukkup ghost did to wutang) shyt on it; but rza makes sure to work with them whenever theyll LET him.
Northstar and Black Knights came after U-God's debut and Killarmy was 4th's projects and they had only like a couple RZA beats on their first 3 albums. Cilvaringz came after U-God's debut also. Again...what Wu affiliated albums was RZA so invested in before or during U-God's debut?

I don't think he's better. He's just a grump....admittedly. He complains about everything. That's why they don't take anything he says to heart.
Only person I really feel bad for is deck. Dudes album was already done pre flood, had the vocal Mic setting correct in the studio and he had the huge standout verse in clans biggest track, cream. Dude got fukked royally imo.
