nikka....why would any of them be loyal to the Rock over Vin? Do you even understand what you're writing? FF is Vin/Paul Walker's shyt......point blank.

Or is that lost on you?

They were doing those films back when the Rock was fighting Steve Austin.

The fact he thinks he can come into a series another actor is the producer of and has been involved with since 2001.....a good ten years before the Rock came in the picture......but expect to have more say so or more creative control or more loyalty from the group than they show to Vin shows how outta pocket he is. FOH with that.

Bruh first of all you can't preach this "family" shyt, then the second their is a family feud, you taking sides and playing favorites. That isn't how family works. Either ya'll are family and working together or you aren't. From what is seems, they ain't really family like that. And at the very least, The Rock doesn't seem to be a close part of the inner circle there.

Second, you and nobody here are in the meetings and seeing any of the stuff first hand. You don't know exactly what's going on, all we know is what is being reported. From the outside looking in, it looks like Rock is getting an opportunity to reach beyond the franchise and have his own. On the base level of that, why would anyone not take that if that's what they sought?

Third, I agree FF is Vin/Walker's shyt, so IN that case, the best Rock can hope to do is become a co-star in Vin's shyt. That's why an opportunity for his own franchise is ideal because he can reach higher levels there vs. the glass ceiling he has to deal with under Vin's shyt.

Fourth, I don't know what you are trying to argue here because your point is not making sense. Either you think Rock should take the spin off franchise and move on from the FF series or you think he should be "loyal" to the FF series and his co-workers. But being loyal means he's always going to be in a supporting role when he clearly is the biggest name in the franchise and has the largest upside as a character. Its either Business or Friendship here, and you seem to be big on Rock staying in Vin's shadow. Sorry bruh, Rock actually has option unlike the rest of the cast. Why should be be loyal to people that aren't loyal to him?

If the whole specuilated "unit" was all siding with Vin last year then wouldn't the odd man getting his own movie/possible sequel to not come back mean nothing to them? :gucci: they can go on being the OG "family"

The Rock doing a spinoff doesn't destroy the last 2 FF films in (arguably) quality nor profitability :gucci: I'm struggling to see how this endangers FF
Exactly, they want to take sides and stick with vin vs rock calling vin out on his drama queen ways, ok. Don't be mad when rock takes the opportunity to take a solo film when offered. Crazy thing is 9 and 10 are already greenlit. So what is tyrese complaining about since he should be good anyway eating off those.

Sorry but where I'm from if you have a work environment and everyone has a problem with one person, that one person is foul, not everyone else.

We'll just have to agree to disagree regarding the future of FF, because I"m sure this spin off shyt will cause commotion and competition through the franchise and the main series will probably have to take hits for budget to adjust for it.

It's Vin's franchise now that Paul's gone. If you can't respect that or you want to do slimy stuff behind his back and the rest of the OG's cast back, then gtfo :camby:

He's a guest on the FF series. Loyalty would be him understanding that, taking a backseat to work with Vin Diesel and be a part of the group. Instead he tried to mess up that dynamic because he doesn't feel like he should yield to Vin even though FF is Paul Walker and Vin's shyt. FF probably is a family or a tight knit group but, Vin and Paul were the heads of it. Not Rock. Or in less kind words, some nikka that came in 2011 into a series y'all started in 2001 don't get to act like he's running shyt.

The OG cast will probably never be cool with a Rock spinoff because FF is their baby. They know the studio will probably never include the OG cast in this new FF universe they're going to create. They're going to replace all of them with new characters, continue on with the Rock and write them all out and put out like 5 movies with this nikka. Thus, their attitude towards him. But if the studio insists on it, the Rock spinoffs should come out after the final 2 FF movies and shouldn't impede on them in anyway.

Okay then since Rock is "foul" his departure from the OG should be good riddance for the group.

And the masses dot care about behind the scenes squabbles and hearts to hearts from actors they want the film. FF9 will drop May 2019, do 800M-1B+. IF Universal moves lighting fast, Hobbs flick comes out May 2020, does whatever it will. FF10 drops May 2021 or 22, does 800M-1B+. The revenue from one film will probably pay for the other.

Film is not sports people aren't going to choose like that.

Tbf it seemed like the dozens of ppl on the production staff and stuff sided with rock while some cast members sided with vin. Vin who has clout and is basically their boss. The production ppl probably don't care what vin thinks cuz on unions.

This spinoff will most likely cost a fraction of what the main one does. 8 had a production budget of 250. I doubt they spend even half that on a spinoff.

Why would people be cool with him on the way out if he is being used to hurt what they built?
As for what the masses care about and etc, don't care, I'm talking about how the Rock is moving that is all.

shyt seemed like it was split but Rock doing what he did disrupted everything and brought shyt that should have been in house to the public.
Another move that seems suspect to me looking at how he is a management guy

What's slimy about being rewarded for your hard work and effort? :dwillhuh: Vin Diesel is not a fukking King. Rock does not work for him or vice versa. Rock has an offer on the table and the ONLY thing stopping him from taking it is some level of "loyalty" to the cast of this franchise.

And you are mistaken bruh. This ain't an episode of RAW, Rock is not a guest host. He is an actual PART of the FF franchise and movie series, arguably the best part. I think you are projecting something based on your assessment of the situation because it not what happened at all.

Rock has an offer for his OWN series on the table, AWAY from Vin and the rest of the cast. IF he and the cast are having real life issues, it would be in his best interests to take that spin off and move on. Tyrese apparently does not want him to do that tho because Rock leaving will overall hurt the main FF movies and hit all of their pockets. He's basically asking Rock to take a backseat financially and screenwise for the overall team. That choice is on The Rock's but he is not obligated in ANY sense to have to do that, this "family" shyt that people keep bringing up doesn't seem to hold much value because nobody else seems to be showing loyalty to The Rock.

Its not the OG cast's place to have any sort of feelings on a spin off series, they got nothing to do with that. Also, the OG cast is just Vin and Rodriguez (who also has express problems with the franchise). Paul Walker is DEAD, and the rest of the cast are add ons just like the Rock was, but they didn't take as much advantage with their opportunities as The Rock did.

Bottom Line, it does not make sense for The Rock to be loyal to people who are NOT loyal to him. Nothing I've seen from any of the other actors expressed loyalty towards The Rock. If the cast wants Rock to pass up on this opportunity, I'd wager they need to work a deal out that would be worth his while. That's called negotiations, its how the business world works.

I kind of get it. Some new guy comes in and gets his own series based off your many years of work and effort. You'd be lying or a straight up fool if you said that wouldn't piss you off.
Tyrese had his own movie with Paul walker, he sounds like a bitter bytch beefing cause the Rock, a bigger star and actor is having a spinoff.
