He was making good music when he was younger. It was just edgy and cringy. You can hear who influenced him when he created his albums. The beats are influenced by Pharell and the music is influenced by Eminem, MF DOOM, Kanye, and the Clipse. His bars were about his internal struggles growing up and his mindset back then. He put hella effort into his music, he was just weird as hell.
For all its flaws, there was still heart, passion and fun in their music. This Ian kid has made some of the most soulless, lab created music I’ve ever heard

I don't if it's genuine

We been seeing way too many rappers on different races that's not black and latino come into the game, do music only to find out that they were mocking it.
I agree you with on that and I don’t fukk with people that do that but integrity was the first thing to leave the rap game so I’m not mad at somebody seeing a lick and grabbing it. You just have to actually be good at what you’re doing you know what I mean. At least let it be a good parody is all I’m saying and that shyt was trash

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..

:wow:

Good message wrong messenger

What's funny is this dude Ian and Tyler probably have the same type of fanbase.

Buts lets not act like tyler gives a fukk about the culture when he came in the game selling blackface merch to white folks and said people who care about white poeple saying the n word is the reason racism is alive,. Dude has done everything to say he is not one of "you" nikkas and one of the good ones lol

Tyler is just another one of those uppity black members of the LGBTQ that don't even date black people who think they're better than other blacks cause they're artsy that want to speak on the culture but doens't want to be associated with the culture

and yall will fall for this cause he's dissing some white kid

He's the rap equivalent of Lena Waithe
he can gtfoh too

Tyler used to be a trolling, weird and immature a$$hole but the nikka always had talent and their crew always put alotta work into what they did. Son did an interview with Nas BACK THEN and shocked Nas with how much he knew. Saying one of his favorite tracks from Nas was Nazareth Savage. nikka kept it a stack too. Cause when he did his mixtape a couple years ago dedicated to old Drama mixtapes n shyt. He doubled back and flipped Nazareth Savage. Like I said say what u want about his antics. Son was a student of the game. Real talk.

the problem is tyler was a troll himself so the white boy "mocking" is just some more white boy trolling and people will eat up like all the other times white boys get to trolling. white people will make this dude ian a star just to troll people who dont like him.

Did you listen to the interview? It's clear he is not only a fan but a student of music. Y'all are missing the whole context to what he was talking about just by going off that clip

Uh oh Tyler is getting old and losing his edge! Lmao

The old "burn it all to the ground/kill your babies" Tyler loved anything that challenged the existing narrative, especially meme shyt

This Ian kid is corny as hell, but the barndoor has been open to any and all bullshyt in rap for a while now
He said everyone sounds the same and that is the problem. Same types of beats, same types of flows, same type of lyrics, all with no originality. He sees Ian as emulating and not being genuine

Never thought I’d see a thread like this going at Tyler lol. Again guys get older and see bullshyt winning and all of a sudden they’re the elder statesman having to call the bullshyt out.. like it or not Tyler is elder statesman status. I’m not a fan like that but I like a couple of his more recent songs.

So because he’s a student of the game, like the rest of us he gets a pass for c00ning extra hard?

It’s not like he came in the game on some “respect the culture” type shyt he literally came in mocking it also

And I get he was troll but yall think this gets a pass

giphy.gif

This is okay trolling to yall? Like I said in my original post right message wrong messenger. Cause in past interviews also he’s been anti black and tried to distance himself from “the culture”

I get it, he grew up and he's absolutely right

But old Tyler still would've been all over that shyt back then. He'd probably be trying to smash if we're being completely honest lol
