The production design of his studio sets are cheap looking. The soundstages are likely top notch.
The sets were looking very mid (courthouse, interrogation room etc)
:mjlol:

He doesn't care about those kind of details and it shows. The color grade on the film was unnecessarily blue IMO, but again, most of his target audience doesn't give a fukk about shyt like that

I think Tyler really tried with For Colored Girls. Once the reaction was still negative I think he stopped giving a care
He actually did well and didn’t know he wrote and directed that. I just thought he produced.

Not trying to be funny, but I don't think I've ever seen any female nudity in a Tyler Perry movie.
:jbhmm:
Honestly, I wouldn't know because I don't watch his movies like that
As other films have proven, fully clothed good actors but with dress partially lifted and pants slightly sagged, could be very effective

My timeline consists of ppl bigging this movie up as 1 of his best and supporting TP for creating his own lane and table instead of looking for a seat at somebody elses. Never been a fan but I decided to give a look.

nikka...:snoop:

I mean...if you gonna tell a story...how hard is it to tell it realistically and still be fiction?
Why act like this chick would be on a murder trial with no body present?
Why act like the prosecutions main allegation was that this 5'3 chick carried this 6'3 200+ lb. mofo, put him in a car somewhere, and dumped him....would even be able to get to trial??
What made the "lawyer" hell bent on defending her? The chick really tried and thought she killed him! Cuz she cried? The broad really was NOT innocent but she was literally going for a not guilty plea! Not guilty by reason of insanity or some shyt...just not guilty cuz dude was an a$$hole and had it coming!
Why the retarded wigs? They were not essential to the plot at all. TP and dude coulda rocked their regular cuts and a beat wouldn't have been missed.
So they had a buncha old bytches chained up in the basement (all wearing gowns for no apparent reason) but no gags. You keeping these broads alive why exactly?
Tyler Perry will put an outta shape chick in his flicks (the lawyer bestie) tryna front on some body positive shyt. But has he ever cast a real fat dude? Has there ever been a man in his flicks without a ripped 6 pack and pecs??
The cop husband Shemar Moore junior. This cat had the personality and acting chops of a door stop.
So homie got his head bashed tf in, lost mad blood....but fukk it. Ma, give me an ace bandage and some gauze and I'm good. Right back to my shenanigans. And I'm beat Shemar Moore Jr ass and have to be save by his wack acting wife.
Who was a got damn dummy and the most cringe worthy lawyer of all time. Remember the scene where she "snapped" at her husband in an attempt to show her frustration? After school special acting to this max lol. Don't she play on Black Lightning? I've seen a few eps of that and she seems better on there. Hmm maybe better direction possibly?
Am I nuts or was the courtroom steps building...the very same building Claire Huxtable was about to go in for her new job in the very next scene?? Tell me it wasn't!!
And homegirl gets off in the end. Cuz you know...she didn't kill homie. She only tried. Because he was a dikk. Makes complete sense to me.
I liked Grace lil bubble. I'da had her feeling like a new woman too :shaq:
