Honestly, I thought Perry was getting heat from the public recently because of this new film.

like, the screen cap shows Perry with a fukked up wig. I thought that’s what sparked that wig debate in Perry movies...

Tyler deliberately goes for this type of energy around his films.

He's a troll. The male wigs, the over the top storytelling, the crazy twist in every film, the low quality sets, the lack of attention to detail. Why exert unnecessary effort when his fanbase supports him enough to eat regardless of criticism?

He would much rather have his films be memes and go viral than really put out an elite movie that's top notch.

Content creators just want people to see their work and feel some type of way about it. Tyler Perry does both, people view his work, and they either love it or completely trash it. No in between, and in that regard he's mastered the technique.

Personally? I thought the movie was terrible. I immediately couldn't take it serious after seeing the lead actors man wig. The only reason I watched it is because my wife and I went over her mom's house and she was watching it.

This

Tyler Perry is like a romance novelist who has an audience who likes what they do and just feeds that audience with the same shyt again and again. No real interest in "craft" or innovating anything.
Perry isn't interested in being a true "filmmaker"....he knows his niche and ppl like his fukkery film displays...why switch it up now....he's become a multi milionaire doing what he does.

Man hopefully he will use his studio to give up and coming black directors a chance to come up because I swear it's been the same shyt from him for almost 2 decades
The production design of his studio sets are cheap looking. The soundstages are likely top notch.
