Naw he was much more patient in that fight. Waiting for gus to throw and countering. He came out the gate here flailing and basically fell into DC hands

Crowd was mostly into the Weidman vs Belfort fight
No one truly cared for the rumble vs DC fight
Atmosphere left more to be desired
Overall 7.5/10
They probably shoulda had Weidman vs Belfort the last fight because that's what people wanted to see.

He could win by being patient and letting his opponent come to him like hes been doing. He got excited off that one KD and went full beserker mode putting himself in poor position. Hes past fights he was much more relaxed, putting great pressure and countering. The moment was too big for him or he was too confident in his power. He can beat Cormier. You saw how he sent him flying early. Just need to be more composed and patient next time
