My point was - I'm not going to put Brad Pitt over Tyler in terms of Black America contributions. Tyler also helps new talent enter in to all fields of entertainment -- in front and behind the scenes.

But I keep my thoughts within certain circles and stay on code. He aint the worst. Salute the breh overall...

Right, as you are.
But we can't make demands for higher expectations, if we're not putting the energy into building a better media platform for ourselves with content that is created for us, by us. This settling for status quo is the reason why the majority of the images that we see are Love and Hip Hop, Housewives, Mixshyt, Black-ish, Soap Opera-ish and rarely see other multidimensional characters, giving the greenlight for whites to think they can align or contribute to black spaces, trying to tell us about our experiences.

Right - if I would have just seen that as a standalone without this thread or knowing the show; I would have thought I stumbled on a Skinemax or Hotime after dark adult tv series "special" like "Zane's: The Jumpoff" or some shyt. In fact, Zane's was actually better quality and more engaging. Both black and female leads were a doctor, lawyer, book author, executives and business owners. Kind of embarrassing in comparison when a skin flick had more levels to it than some of Tyler Perry's shows. One of the main actors from a Zane flick went on to star in Snowfall which is highly rated. Do the math.

They aren’t a list actors but He did open up new doors for them that wouldn’t have been there if it wasn’t for his plays or movie
