At this point what does having a blue check mean? Nothing… because most celebrities and reliable sources don’t even have them. And now, any clown with $8 a month can get one. If anything, the idea would have made more sense if he charged an amount that was less affordable for the average joe. People pay $8 a day on Starbucks, lol.

If he charged $100-$200 a month, maybe you still leave some exclusivity to it. But even then, you’re taking a gamble that’s really not worth it.

It’s improved my experience. I think Twitter is better than it’s been in about 5+ years. Way more active. At least that’s how it feels on my TL (I follow 20k people tho) Will never be 2010-2012 twitter though.

Now you have to pay to be verified. A lame with no friends and 5 followers can pay for a blue check. What's the point? There is no value in it anymore. People were paying stacks for Blue Checks. I know someone personally who got a blue check just because they were with someone important and ran into the right person at the right time
