A Reasonable Reader Does Not Need A Disclaimer To Know That Parody Is Parody.
At bottom, parody functions by catering to a reasonable reader—one who can tell (even after being tricked at first) that the parody is not real. If most readers of parody didn’t live up to this robust standard, then there would be nothing funny about the Chinese government believing that a pudgy dictator like Kim Jong-un was the sexiest man on Earth. Everyone would just agree that it was perfectly reasonable for them to be taken in by the headline.
Not mention military/ police movement, air pollution spikes and
doctors, scientists, professionals of all kinds are on there with multiple threads breaking down complex topics for the masses. they're adding context on top of content discussing a myriad of things.
theres a lot of accounts posting historical info. theres bots set up to post train or traffic info too.
I never said twitter wouldn't invest into video sharing. I said they wouldn't be a competitor. The same way Walmart isn't a competitor to Bloomingdale's.Twitter is launching short videos to compete with TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

Social media companies have plunged into short videos hook, line and sinker. TikTok started the craze and all major platforms have introduced varying versions of short videos, to the delight of users.
Twitter wasn’t quick to fall into the bandwagon, but short videos are now seemingly inevitable. The company announced last week that it will be introducing scrollable short videos, although it hasn’t given any timelines for when this is expected to take place.
“Videos are a huge part of the public conversation, and they’re one of the most engaging ways people can express themselves online. In fact, videos shared on Twitter receive billions of combined views every year.” The company said in a blog post.
To immerse into the video feed, users activated it by clicking on a video on the platform. Once the video is launched in full-screen mode, it will be much easier to discover more videos and scroll through them for more engaging video content. You can go back to consuming other content by clicking the back arrow in the top left corner of the app.
