I can’t imagine sitting through 20 seconds of xQc, let alone for 8 hours. 
Akademics has made millions off Twitch but he's still a smaller fish in a huge pondAdin ross pulled in 1.8M damn.. but they not making more money then what u stated seeing that it was a 2 year period but still extremely impressive ! Also im hella suprised DJ Akademiks isnt on the list

It actually makes ppl want to donate more. Ppl want to be the top “donor” for the day or all time. Donating also usually allows you to ask the streamer a question they’ll answer on screen. Streamers also say the persons name and thank them for the donation. Some ppl might feel that gives them advertisement or they like being shouted out by the streamer.Good points.
I wonder if the audience being aware that the streamer made millions already would impact donations

Subscribing and donating to streamers has always been mad weird to me. I remember watching one stream and someone in the chat was basically apologizing for missing a month of subscribing or not being able to donate because they had an unsuspected bill pop up and I'm like you're living check to check but paying monthly to a streamer
And just because you don't see certain people on these 10mil lists doesn't mean they're not still caking off the platform
They could be right outside of those lists or lower and that's still a lot of fukkin bread to make every 2 months
RDC could be pulling 50k every two months that's still
