I think its called superchat or something.
Anyway same shyt. Others donate to you as you do what you do. My Nigerian mind just cant comprehend it but I see it working.
I understand sports betting but this is some new shyt. You can just watch without donating.....so why donate? I need to understand the use case.....Do you get extra access the more you donate? There has to be something im missing.

  • Average NBA salary: $8.32 million.
  • Average MLB salary: $4.03 million.
  • Average NFL salary: $3.26 million.
  • Average NHL salary: $2.69 million.
  • Average MLS salary: $410,000.

Only 81 people made over a million.
I'd bet the AVERAGE streamer makes less than the average MLS player. How far down does that list go? :mjlol:

there are more “average streamers” then there are athletes. This is only reported income for 2 years which doesn’t include donations.

:yeshrug: lot of these streamers at the start are poor or not that well off, then they start making money a few years in the game and keep up the act since people think they are still struggling. i would :wow: if i could make millions playing games all day.

Global active streamers on Twitch 2021 | Statista.

Yea, there are 8 million active streamers.
But there aren't 8 million millionaires. There's only 81. :picard:

Meanwhile, traditional sports makes thousands of millionaires just in this country, plus what soccer stars are making in other countries.
Even if you're not good enough to go pro, you can ride that to a full college scholarship.

I mean, I gues it's cool that the top 0.001 percent is getting money like that

but you literally have to be in the top 0.001 percent. :picard:

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Lol you assume a streamer can’t take breaks or do all of those things? No one is streaming 24/7, the platform is available 24/7…big difference. They’re already at home or on vacation doing what they love to do, they can stream wherever they go. You’re just watching them. They don’t have to break their bodies down or risk injury for your entertainment, they’re at home talking shyt and raking in more money than your favorite athlete :mjlol:

Cory Kenshin took damn near a year off (total blackout...people thought he was dead) and gained like 2 million subs on YT

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
People getting mad at folks getting money outside the system
Got all kinds of smoke for people not wanting to work during a pandemic for bullshyt wages
Crying because certain people pay for ENTERTAINMENT they like
Conflating NBA contacts as an argument
But say something against big corporations on here and it’s
samuel-l-jackson-leonardo-di-caprio.gif

the collective of mentally ill, faux intellectual bytch made nikkas on this platform
Just miserable pieces of shyt that need to be lead to a field and murked

Would've thought shroud would be in the top 5.

Dude is a God in the fps community. I remember 100,0000+ viewers pulling up to watch along a tournament with him.

That article is bias. I’m on twitch right now and almost daily I also watch sports and can say it ain’t the same no nba nfl mlb trading their salary for a twitch streamer salary :yeshrug:

You haven’t gave me any articles to support your claim so that’s your personal opinions. People are doing what they love to do and making money..athlete or gamer. And it’s not a simple as someone dropping out of their multi million dollar contract to become a streamer… so that’s a silly statement. If given a choice I bet most people would want to stay home and make money doing what they love to do. Most athletes can’t even enjoy their home and families throughout the year because they’re traveling and training.
