I’m a pretty consistent person who watches twitch streamers, I watch fortnite tournaments. I don’t donate though.
The amount of kids/adults around the world watching gaming at all times of the day and night, 365 days a year that are subscribed and donating constantly. + ad revenue and endorsements from basically any and everything >>>>>>>> a short season of regional and national sports that only last a hour or so per game that you only pay once, capped salaries, limited contracts and endorsements from sporting companies.
how’s this even a question? Gaming overtook sports a long time ago.
Justin.tv started when I was in college but my dumb ass was focusing on a degree.there was also the time microsoft paid one of them like 19 mil to switch platforms
if twitch started when i was 18
Yeah, the luster is gone when you realize you gotta do that shyt all day every day. It becomes just another job.
So these dudes you are championing basically have to be on their screen 24/7 to get their money? And that's better than being a pro athlete who can actually take breaks, can flip their fame into numerous different avenues like movies, politics, etc.
