I have this question too. I tried watching season 1 the show is terrible (I know it's supposed to be terrible at times)Can I understand/enjoy this if I never seen the first 2 seasons?
In the most general sense, Lynch's work is not really something that's suppose to be understood - your bearings are not meant to be found, you're suppose to lose yourself in its surrealism. But yes, you will get a better understanding of who's who and the story with watching the first two seasons. Can I understand/enjoy this if I never seen the first 2 seasons?
Did he go Inland Empire on us?After watching the first episode, it seems like Lynch threw the heavy comic contrast of the TP universe in the bushes, and is just drowning us in dread.
He actually brought the vagary tone slowly back into it (pointing to episodes 3 & 4), but it's still just as dark as ever. This is some of his best work. shyt is wild.Did he go Inland Empire on us?
I tried a few times to watch s1 and couldn't get into itI have this question too. I tried watching season 1 the show is terrible (I know it's supposed to be terrible at times)

Its fukkin terrible dude I don't get the acclaim. I kept reading that it was intentionally soap opera esque, but that doesn't make it good because its intentionally bad lol. shyt was comical at times. The way the mom was crying when she found out her daughter was murdered was comical as fukk. It was such an unrealistic reactionI tried a few times to watch s1 and couldn't get into it
