:beli: movies have been made about Malcolm X, JFK, Hoover, Ali

mafukkas can sum up 2pac in 2 fukking hrs gtfoh

as long as there is a real budget and someone that kknows what they are doing directing with real actors

And in my opinion "X" was the only one that got it right. "JFK" was Classic but it did get heat since it only focused more on the Assassination conspiracy than his life, "Ali" got heat for not showing his childhood and skipping straight to him being an adult. "Hoover" was ok. "Nixon" was weak. "Ray" was solid. The Johnny Cash movie was pretty good. I'm not saying it can't be done , I'm just saying it's not easy to do. Here are the top 10 Grossing Bio Movies of all time:

That would be hot but I don't think it would make the dough like that for Hollywood to want to do a trilogy. Tupac's life has so many layers. They should of contacted Spike Lee to do it. Make it 2 1/2 hours and get everything, childhood, Mom on Crack, moving around, going to Cali, Starting on music, the revolutionary side, going to jail, the NY shooting. I mean damn, Pac life is so deep. After I saw the Biggie movie I knew they were going to do a Pac movie and I was terrified cause these will be considered the definitive movies for both of them. When people talk about their lives they will refer to the movies. SMH. Again I just wanted an Epic Pac movie and with his life story it can be done but I don't know about this. Again I never want to judge a movie off a teaser but I didn't feel "Pac" from that actor the minute I saw him. I still think that Pac documentary did a great job, I actually went to watch it on the Big Screen:

Cant believe more time has passed from the time that came out til now than time passed from Pac's death to release of that movie. Still cant believe we're looking 20 years dead in the face. I mean it was just 7 my nikka!

You can never satisfy nikkas. Notorious was dope to me. Everybody besides Pac was cast good. Derek Luke had me really thinking he was Diddy. Faith was :youngsabo: Gravy did a good job. Kim was straight. D Roc was straight. shyt was good.

I think people get mad at "Notorious" cause clearly Puffy played with the truth in the movie like the whole Quad Studio, Biggie with a gun going to rescue Pac, even as a Big fan I rolled my eyes. Plus Pac fans were upset at how Mackie did as Pac which is valid, he wasn't a great Pac. But I thought they handled Biggie and Pac's relationship well and didn't focus on the negative. Your right about casting.

I think Gravy nailed Big. Derrek Luke was a good puff and Old girl that NaS said he wanted to bone did play a good Faith. Angela Bassett brought credibility to the cast. Lil Kim was right to be mad cause they didn't portray her character right to me, she wasn't just a jump off to Big. Again I did enjoy the movie but there were a couple moments where again I rolled my eyes. My biggest beef was they didn't show other artist like Wu, NaS etc from that era. I know it was a Biggie movie but they could of showed clips just acknowledge the history of other rappers who where there with Big. Can't believe "Notorious" was Hip Hop 1st official Bio-pic. "8 Mile and Get Rich" don't count since Em and 50 swear they were only "loosely" based even though we all know those were both Bio-Pics for both. Em and 50 just didn't want to be criticized for playing themselves when that's exactly what they did.

Antoine Fuqua could possibly pull off a 2pac bio pic, there are so many elements to a quality biographical movie though, it's not just getting someone to play Pac, which is a extremely challenging task of it's own, you need supporting actors with great performances, authentic sets, costumes, story, not an easy thing. It's not like recreating the 70's or something, it's a more recent, and fresh in memory era, so people will be quick to point out inaccuracies, and mistakes.

I would say it COULD be done, but the likeliness of it being an iconic, blockbuster, Oscar caliber epic, are almost slim to none. Likely none. You see how people portray blacks and hip hop in general in some of these movies, all it takes is ONE guy like that to throw the whole movie off. I think a 3 h movie is probably needed, if not 2:45. I would love to watch a raw, violent, emotional, dark, funny, tragic movie about Pac's life, but that probably won't ever happen.

'Notorious' was straight, average, not a mockery of BIG, and did a lot of things right, but weak performances, an uneven script, wrought with sentiment, and the budget, hurt the movie a lot. It's a respectable movie, but not a truly great one. It was a few steps and millions from being a BET straight to cable movie.

Also, I never heard of 50 Cent co-producing, only Tupac's mother. This is completely fake, no question about it.

The guy who did this seems to be an independent film maker, by the looks of his YouTube. Gotta give the guy props for making people believe this is real.
