my only point is you said " So every 3-5 you have to purchase a new GPU to keep pace, not to mention every 5-8 you need to purchase a new CPU to maintain true parity with that GPU." and that is simply not true.People are recommending others to get a PC based on this idea of superior performance and fidelity. Of course you're still playing on older hardware, so are console players.
The point is, if you want ultra settings on the most games, you would need to upgrade GPUs often. that's not a talking point, that is a reality.
No way with what they put it in. Said 700 and it's exactly what I thought.Sony is so damn hot and cold with this shyt.
They know damn well they could have just did 100 more and be good. I guess that money spent on concord really hurt fr fr.
a 2TB SSD was expensive back in 2022 when I bought mine, but they can be had for like $150 at this point. and sony pays far less for their SSD's when they are buying them buy the millions.
I'm def poverty compared to that
4080 has held me down tho I'm chilling

You're absolutely right if you're good with 60fps but if you start getting into 120fps then no, it can't. Most updated version of Cyberpunk can't run max settings on everything on a 4080.How often are you talking?
A 4080 will be able to play shyt on ultra for the next 3-5 years I imagine, and it released in 2022
Makes sense. I just don’t see the 200 dollars worth of improvements to justify that cost, but maybe I’ll pick up a GTA6 bundle when it gets released. No way with what they put it in. Said 700 and it's exactly what I thought.
The conversation is more nuanced, I agree. But so is the concept of just telling a console gamer to just spend the money on a gaming PC as if there is no equivalent future expense.my only point is you said " So every 3-5 you have to purchase a new GPU to keep pace, not to mention every 5-8 you need to purchase a new CPU to maintain true parity with that GPU." and that is simply not true.

How much for a PC that can real 4k, 60fps, and Ray tracing?
How much for a PC that can real 4k, 60fps, and Ray tracing?
You want ray tracing at 4K, you're looking at 4080 or a 4090. Then you build backwards from there to include the tv/monitor that can support 4K.
