I don't understand the outrage, the current PS5 is good and hasn't even been pushed to it's limits. You don't have to buy the Pro version.

It should have come with the disk drive, but that's about it.

Just like music and it's optical media. It was inevitable for gaming.

Computers and laptops don't even come with optical drives standard anymore and haven't for years. Yall thought this was a coincidence?

Digital is the way to go as they don't have to cut retailers a part of the pie anymore or a smaller part of the pie with the digital codes sold in stores vs physical media.

Digital is retarded and anti consumer though. Gamers are dumb as chit for going digital. And I guarantee you the games won't be any cheaper:francis: You have so much more freedom with disks.

For example, I traded 5 games and got Stellar Blade and still had $15 leftover for store credit.

For the people saying to build a PC, will a $700 PC run better than a PS5 Pro?

What about a $1000 PC? What about a $1500 PC?

That’s my biggest issue. Have two models with the base model and having only digital for the pro. Obviously those that got the digital base it isn’t an issue.

This guarantees next gen for Sony and Microsoft will be digital only.
That's assuming sales are strong.

Nintendo has been getting in that ass because their console is affordable. We're at the point where games look very good already, so most buyers aren't going to be fixated on frame rates and resolutions.

If Nintendo next console is using discs or flash memory, has the power of something like a slightly stronger series X for 4k gaming, they're going to keep that streak going.

It's funny how not focusing on computing power has actually paid off well for them. Nintendo hasn't made a powerful console since the GameCube, which was 23 years ago.

GPU shelf life is shorter than that of console shelf life. So every 3-5 you have to purchase a new GPU to keep pace, not to mention every 5-8 you need to purchase a new CPU to maintain true parity with that GPU.

Just buy a gaming PC is a nonsensical answer for someone who isn't already an enthusiast or has use for a PC for things other than gaming.
