My opinion: I'm going to wait it out. I need to see how big an upgrade it is and no disk drive is a deal breaker. If folks make it out to be a good upgrade, I'll buy it and the disk drive.
$700 is a lot, but when it includes a 2tb ssd, that's why it's so high. That added another $100.

PS Pro is doing that on whatever games they upgrade. They already showed The Last of Us 2 running fidelity at 60fps.
No more having to choose between Performance and Fidelity mode from what I understand

a 2TB SSD was expensive back in 2022 when I bought mine, but they can be had for like $150 at this point. and sony pays far less for their SSD's when they are buying them buy the millions.

People are recommending others to get a PC based on this idea of superior performance and fidelity. Of course you're still playing on older hardware, so are console players.
The point is, if you want ultra settings on the most games, you would need to upgrade GPUs often. that's not a talking point, that is a reality.
