I actually caught this last night before heading out the door.

shyt was borderline hard to watch.

Jason was actually trying his ass off...like, I actually felt a little uncomfortable for him because showing all that emotion made him look really soft. And RIGHT before getting buried....

Contextually...this story is awful. This dudes real life father is black...they've given him this horrendous storyline with Kurt as his father...who then just watches him get beat down by another white man. He should have said no to this shyt.

Steph AND Hunter BOTH decided to use his guaranteed heat for cheers...like, there was NO point in Steph coming out other than her knowing she would get some easy cheers for helping burying Jason.

And y'all were saying he would be the first "black" champ...

The sad reality that wrestling audiences won't accept pure babyfaces anymore. There isn't even any point to writing storylines anymore either, put one guy on SD put another on RAW, tease 'dream match' make 'dream match'. No creative required.

Audiences are proud to be unsympathetic so you can forget booking babyfaces in 2017, that and they're fickle as hell.
