How many baby faces can you say were as over as The Godfather during this time? Rock? Foley? Who else really? Let's not act like Vince did this for any other reason other than to stick it to critics of WWEs content. RTC would have had the same heat without The Godfather

No but my argument is you had a baby face that the crowds all across the country rocked with during a time when your top baby face was injured and DX was basically acting as the NWO why not let him stay baby face and build him into a world champ? Godfather was one of a host of guys that were very over at one time or another during Attitude. That was the luxury of having creative freedom and not using memorized cue cards for promos. Pretty much the only people that weren't over were Shawn Staziak, Just Joe, Dan Severn, Mideon, and Cornette's NWA stable.
