That's the environment the WWE created themselves. They have no one else to blame.

There's two parties to blame, audiences don't know what they want from one minute to the next. Hot and cold, and Vince is just as impulsive.

One thing is for sure is there's a disconnect.

There's definitely a disconnect, but this is a disconnect more than 10 years in the making due to WWE booking. Sure, there's 2 parties to blame, but at best it's 85/15 leaning towards the WWE themselves. If you spend more than 10 years putting out a mundane product, this is what you get, an apathetic detached audience, which sucks cause the wrestlers deserve better than that.
