Ask yourself this question, was Christian deserving of all that hype? People aren't mad at Christian, they're mad at AEW for over hyping the surprise. Also the difference is that WWE brought him in as a surprise rumble entrant, if they did what AEW did they would've gotten roasted too.

One of the criticisms of AEW is that the wrestlers have to much free reign.

WWE are so bad at building up new stars they had to hype up Christian :skip:. Legends night in 2031 is going to be a tragedy. They'll be pulling out Mojo Rawley as a legend if Christian is getting this hype now:skip:.

Except the younger talent don’t give a damn about what the old timers have to say. They’ve had vets in the back this whole time and they still put on cartoon, indie, flippy shyt. Meltzer’s validation is more important to them than a JR, Jake, Arn or Malenko.

The moment he starts talking about selling and shyt and how they're doing too much shyt that doesn't make sense "Wrestling's evolved :unimpressed:". Then one of them will show him that evolution by giving him a concussion like Sammy did to Matt.

I'm glad it was Christian instead of Angle

I've always liked him way more than Edge

When he joined TNA years ago it was great :blessed:

Christian's always been better than edge imo. He has more swag and he wrestles better. Didnt the rock declare him the new people's champ at one point in 03? Hence Christian and his peeps?

That is until he turned face again, in this classic segment...

I cant help it the rest of this segment is fukking funny :mjlol:

I think Christian is a great pickup and his is HOF worthy despite that being meaningless nowadays. I can see him working with Sammy against Jericho and MJF very easily. It should be good as long as they arent moving him into a top spot

You really don’t understand the difference between an unannounced surprise appearance at the rumble vs a couple weeks worth of hype teasing a “huge” star signing?

it wasnt no couple weeks of hype.

they announced it 4 days before the show and i dont even think they mentioned it again.

the hype came from the internet.

he was even in the final part of the rumble and nobody felt he didn't belong including @Brad Piff :mjlol:
Christian hadn’t wrestled in years , he was in amazing shape and Is a fan favorite ( attitude era , longevity , relationship with edge ) BUT what level of star is he in 2020? Tony khan said “This Sunday, a major star in the world of wrestling, a is going to come and sign a multi-year contract with AEW on Sunday “ is he a major and huge star in 2020? I always liked him better but he’s not Edge or even a randy orton level star in WWE. AEW is a company bringing in sting and guys like Shaq so when he says that peopel think a bigger name . If tna said it then that’s different

Booker T says Christian Cage is the most underrated pro wrestler ever, why wrestling is losing its realism | Wrestling News

Booker T says Christian Cage is the most underrated pro wrestler ever

On the latest “Hall Of Fame” podcast, Booker T gave his thoughts on AEW Revolution, Bobby Lashley, Paul Wight, and a bunch other topics related to pro wrestling.

Booker also gave his thoughts on Christian Cage’s signing with AEW and he named Cage as the most underrated wrestler in history. Booker also said that he was sorry to see Cage leave from WWE.

Here are some highlights from the podcast:

Booker T said he would go to Christian for advice on multi-man matches:

“Every time I was in a six man or any type of match where it was more than one guy and myself and Christian was in the ring, I would never think about what to do. I would always go to Christian and say, ‘Christian, what am I doing tonight?’ He would say, ‘Ok, you’re going to do the spinaroonie right here. You’re going to do the scissor kick right here. You’re going to do that jumping side kick right here.’ He made it so easy for me. He is the most underrated, professional wrestler that this business has ever produced. I’m not just saying that because he’s my friend. He’s a guy that’s definitely been well underutilized as far as his talent and his skill and his mind goes for this business. He’s a guy that, me personally, I really hate that we lost. I must say that.”

just peeped why y'all calling dude blue dot :picard:

Christian never warranted the hate he gets man
I was mad he was the surprise for a day or two, but honestly, he's a veteran returning that can actually go.

He's watched, rested up, I always like any premise based upon wrestling experience being invaluable.

He's been ready to work, he knows what to do, he's going to apply himself with a passion of someone who had to stay away for their own damn good.

I liked the segment last night.

whats your point??

also, i dont know why people are surprised. he was on most peoples' short-list of expected names.

i also dont know why people would even want to see john cena or bautista in AEW.
