What’s the story

Apparently the WWE doesn't have some of the rights to AWA and just have the two episodes with HBK. The Gagne's still have the rights to the shows along with various territories of some of the promotions that could had been on the Network.

I want my Memphis tapes dammit:mjcry:

This isn't this case, they just don't think there's enough interest in AWA stuff. They have added multiple big shows in the Hidden Gems section over this year. Back in the 24/7 era, they aired a bunch of AWA TV that hasn't ever made it to the Network.

:patrice:Dude who wouldn't want to experience the Pre Hulkamania years tho:ld:. That in itself is worth keeping the AWA shows on the network. Plus, I swore Gagne still had the rights to most of those shows.

Brehs is it safe to say that Raw had way more star power than Smackdown did during the Ruthless Aggression era?

I checked out of wrestling by the time the WWF changed their name to WWE, so I missed the Ruthless Aggression era. But watching WWE content on YouTube & WWE Network the last few months or so, it's very obvious to me that Raw had more stars than Smackdown. Survivor Series 2002 was good example of this. I don't think Smackdown had enough main event stars to do that 6-man elimination chamber match. Another example is most of the ruthless aggression era PPVs that weren't brand exclusive, it seems like the primary main event is usually always for the Raw world title, while the Smackdown world title is usually the secondary main event.

Is that how y'all felt when Ruthless Aggression era was going on?

Wait, so they're taking stuff OFF the Network?

In some cases they have, but in the case of AWA, no. They just decided not enough people give a shyt about AWA TV because the other territory stuff doesn't get much views compared to current and recent stuff apparently. But back when they had 24/7 VOD, they did put out a bunch of AWA TV shows so they're already digitized but there isn't interest. For the sake of comparison, they also played the full run of ECW and WCCW TV on 24/7 and it still took them YEARS to get it all uploaded to the Network. They have however put up SuperClash and Christmas shows including one with Hulk vs Bock.

To my knowledge the only stuff that's been taken down was a few Stampede shows and it stemmed from a rights issue with Bret specifically so they just took the whole section down because I guess they don't think anyone wants to fukk with Stampede that doesn't have Bret Hart on it. They do still have a couple of random Stampede matches in Hidden Gems, though. The Stampede section was only like 4-6 shows, some weren't complete, and they weren't even in order. There was some stuff that seemed to go missing when they revamped but I think all if it except all the Youtube stuff is still up, it's just weird to search for some things and they never bothered to fix it.

Raw was straight trash back then watching big nose burying everybody, shyt was infuriating, especially with him cutting 20 minute promos at the start of every raw
