I had stopped watching by 2002 but they really had Brock lose the title and take his first L to the fukking Big Show

Upon retrospect Brock's booking is weird. They have Heyman interfering and saving him in EVERY match that isn't a squash his entire run up to and past the title win. Then he gets challenged by Big Show, whose storyline is he has been such a fat fukking loser that Bischoff doesn't even want him on Raw despite the heated rivalry with Smackdown/Steph where he's getting dudes like Rico as a coup moment and Show is a former WCW and WWE champion and 7 feet tall. And despite all this, Paul doesn't think Brock can beat Show and then as Brock clearly could beat Show and was going to beat Show, Paul turns on him anyway to prove his point and now lol Brock's a face.

But Paul's real goal was to get the title on to Angle anyway?

Yep and Big Show was Sunday Night Heat for most if the year. The bizarre booking goes back a long way..Jericho, after losing the Undisputed title and being a dog walker, loses like 6 or 7 months str8 on ppv..including to green rookie Cena who was rocking team cars to every he was in until Toronto booed his and chanted CENA SUCKS at him in like Sept 2002. Comical.
