Once heard jim ross on an attitude era raw mention that punches thrown with a closed fist are illegal, how do you punch with an open fist?

@stro I been watching some georgia championship wrestling episodes from the early 80s. on youtube. for anyone born in the 80s that grew up on WWF golden era wrestling, its fun to see SO MANY of those guys here and in Mid atlantic.

JYD is GREAT Shape :gladbron: my 1st intro to him was in the late 80s, when he had a gut.

JYD and Ted Dibease are teaming up vs Jim Duggan(before the hacksaw) and some random jobber

but it's cool to watch, cuz it was basically a mix of what the mid to late 80s WCW and WWF would be

Flair, Dusty, JYD, Dibease, Piper, Duggan, Hogan, masked superstar(Ax from demolition). a YOUNG as fukk Kevin sullivan :wow: never seen him with hair.

Ole Anderson might actually be the #GOAT tag team wrestler. dude was always a tag champion.

young freebirds, Michael Hayes hiring Nicoli Volkoff as a bounty hunter. ken patera. young ricky steamboat. everyone was here.

Kevin Sullivan is on a number of WWWF shows (All Star and MSG events) in the mid 70s on the Network. It's really weird seeing him as a chubby babyface, then by 1980 he was a bearded, shredded bodybuilder type in Memphis, got fat again, then found the devil in Florida, then became a ...collegiate coach? Lmao

Man this higher power shyt really was dumb, spent weeks upon weeks making Shane the most hated person in the WWE bar none.

Had Undertaker and the Ministry do all this evil shyt, only for Vince to be behind it all to “teach Austin a lesson”

All these weeks to take the title off Austin...weak

A lot of that shyt didn't make sense but Austin was so hot it didn't even matter.

Shane re-signing Austin to a long term contract with a guaranteed title shot only to screw him but forget he gave Austin the title match clause :heh:

End of the attitude era and when the casuals started to tune out. They had the groundwork to transition from Austin vs McMahon; Rock and Austin babyface, Vince out of the picture or reluctantly helping them a little bit, vs Shane taking control from Vince and enlisting Taker for power, but not realizing how evil/powerful Undertaker is. It was a great transition for a couple months.

Then they went back to Austin vs McMahon. Then Austin left and they did Austin/McMahon AGAIN with Rock as Austin and Vince more in the background with HHH/Steph front and center. And overall wrestling viewing died gradually.

I've been watching the end of WCW the last 6 months, I'm at WCWs last PPV Greed right now.

The last few months of WCW actually doesn't have much fukkery and is kinda boring, but this PPV is great. Kwee Wee and Jason Jett of all people had a great opener with some insane spots like a top rope powerbomb that gets countered into a frankensteiner in the air :wow:.
