Watching 04-05 Smackdowns, They clearly were looking for a new Lesnar with all of these big guys they were bringing in. They clearly had the future mapped out for Brock and he dipped on em leaving them a heavy void. Guys like Luther Reigns, Matt Morgan, Lashley, Hendenrich were instantly mixing it up with main eventers
at Taz/Cole and King/Coach talking shyt at each other though the whole match
Sting vs Great Muta and Vampiro with insane clown posse on commentary at Fall Brawl 2000 was about as last days of WCW as it gets. It was weirder than I remembered 
Yeah there were some real mastodons coming through in the immediate aftermath of Brock. Although most of them came in before Brock left, SD in particular was getting blasted with them right after he left. Too bad they all sucked. Lashley didn't start getting decent until the feud with Booker where he was working with Finlay and Regal for 3 months, then immediately regressed working with Vince and Shane for months, then had that dope match with Cena, then bounced.

I'm really struggling to get through to the end of 1997 WCW. So many rematches and angles that go on FOREVER. The nWo wins even when they lose. WCW always look like chumps even when they win. It's taken me like twice as long to get through 1997 as it did 1998-1999 combined, and 1997 is way better and doesn't have Thunder. 
I'm at the night after Fall Brawl and I'm not sure I'll be at the end of the year come next Spring tbh.
