I never knew they did that ECW invasion How long did it last for? Sandman was in WCW?! That whole Awesome/Taz scenario was mad (Thats like WWE champ facing TNA champ at ROH PPV for ROH championship ). Loving these shows and finding out all this stuff (was a kid during MNW so it's all new to me).

So the timeline of events kinda go

Bret drops the belt to Shawn clean at Wrestlemania 12
Bret gets offered 3 million a year over 3 years from WCW and turns it down for a lot less to be loyal to Vince since the WWF was on it's deathbed
Bret Comes back with the intention of working with Steve Austin and having a rematch with Michaels, where HBK returns the favor from the previous year
HBK fakes an injury and does not drop the belt to Bret
Vince tells Bret he can't honor the contract he JUST gave him, going back on his word.
Bret gets a deal from WCW
Bret is willing to drop the belt to ANYONE but HBK and anywhere BUT Canada
Vince, HBK, Hebner, Brisco, screw Bret
Eric Bischoff DOES NOT have Bret on Nitro the very next night to cut the shoot promo of all shoot promos LIVE
WCW does not capitalize on Bret's heat with HBK and Nash being his best friend, THAT should have been Bret's 1st feud in WCW
Vince starts Stone Cold's push as the man
HBK sees the writing on the wall and attempts to fake another injury so not to drop the belt at Wrestlemania....again

this is exactly right

watching superbrawl 2000...Tank Abbott pulled a knife on a dude in a the middle of the match to win [leather jacket on a pole match]

then put the knife to his throat at ring side...commentary had to play it off saying it was maybe a pair of scissors and he was threatening to cut his opponents beard/goatee


his opponent was clean shaved

i gotta see this

most of these ECWs guys have aged terribly

mikey whipreck looks unrecognizably bad

makes sense though i guess. dudes put a big toll on their body for 10-20 years, never got any real fame or money from it, just a cult following. hell they probably dont even have health insurance.

unfortunately you're getting a very slanted view. the ECW invasion into WWF didn't last very long, at least not WWF TV. it was a bigger deal on ECW TV when Jerry Lawler showed up and RVD was on his side.

That entire Tazz showing up to save the day was messed up because on the very next episode of Smackdown he got beat clean by HHH for no reason other than to have the WWF champion beat the ECW champion

Why are they going to black & white when blood is there? The ECW episode of MNW cuts to black & white half the time.

It's funny because they go over that stuff on the Rise & Fall DVD.

They need to go to some WCW episodes though & talk about some shyt that was happening over there. Every episode mentions the long run where WWE was getting beat but all they've done is the nWo episode.
