I always felt Lance Storm, DDP and Tommy Dreamer should have been representives in dem Invasion main events for the WCW/ECW side. Even as a kid having both Austin and Angle fighting AGAINST WWF didn't make too much sense to me.

So I'm watching the first SS back in 87 and its crazy how the jumping bomb angels were literally the first true high flyers/luchas in a mainstream format. What happened to those girls?

I'm still to Matt Striker for giving them a shout out on one of the matches he commentated on... of course sorry ass King and Cole don't know their history and gave him the for his reference.

i agree on vince being good on commentary.
and I don't mean to for russo but he wasn't booking at the time.

Word, he knew his handful of moves like slams, suplexes, hip toss, maybe sunset flip, a couple submissions. Everything was a maneuver lol

That was just as bad as when someone did a superkick it was called "cresent kick" or "side kick" or "standing side kick" or whatever they felt like calling it.

I used to wonder why Austin and angle jumped to the alliance but not Jericho or big show.

I think for Jericho it was the storyline he was in at the time of him feuding with The Rock to "win the big one" leading to his Undisputed Championship victory.

Whole thing felt akward from jump after the initial shock of seeing the WCW logo and a couple of their stars the angle was a dud to me

If they brought over just one WCW guy and treated him as a bigger deal at the time the whole thing woulda made more money, but to this day I dont think they wanted to make money with that angle. They just wanted to let it be known that they bought WCW

I think WM2 has got to be the worst mania of all time. Nothing historical happened. Some garbage, rushed matches. The boxing "match" between Piper and T Terrible, terrible commentary(Elvira Lord Alfred Hayes )The only match maybe worth a damn was the bulldogs vs Valentine/beefcake but I'm pretty sure they had better matches on coliseum MSG tapes

They should of got Steiner from jump , I dont get why he wasnt scene as more of a bigger deal at the time. His contract couldnt of been that bad

Taz was not even a factor wrsstling wise at that point, they goofed his character something fierce.

The highlight of that whole shyt was Stone Cold shytting on Tazwell on Smackdown

You can tell after the first WrestleMania they was just winging it and trying out random stuff for the 2nd. it wasn't until that WrestleMania 3 when they started to have major storylines leading to the ppv.
