I’m gonna say a 9. The top heel in the sport at its biggest time. He was always able to go in the ring and could work with pretty much anyone who wrestled any style. Managed to return from two major quad tears. I don’t recall any classic promos, but that’s ok in my opinion since he wasn’t delivering stinkers on the mic. He’s seemingly always been excellent at how to deliver his lines and feel authentic, but he’s always worked far better as a heel than face. He’s also consistently added subtle or major changes through the years from 1996-2006 up until the DX reunion. He kinda drifted in a spot where it seemed like they weren’t entirely sure where to go with him until his turn on bryan in 2013. Had classic feuds with foley, rock, Austin, Bryan, HBK, Batista, and taker. He’s put over a good number of guys in big moments, but he needed to do that for Goldberg, punk, and booker especially. Otherwise I don’t really have any complaints. Just never let him in the ring with Randy ever again. Those two had no chemistry in the ring whatsoever.

Lol at below 5s. Buff Bagwell, Jarrett, and HHH getting their scores tell me that they're actually good heels because TSC thinks that's them as a shoot while someone like The Miz its just "wow, what a great heelish thing to do, Miz is on fire" because hes so over the top and unbelievable.

Ring- 8. Hes not as good as Bret, but if his matches are plodding and methodical then so are Brets. He has a great catalog. He didnt click with some guys and maybe isnt in the true elite, but his catalogs way too good to be below an 8.

Charisma/Star Power- 8. He gets pretty big reactions in general and has the aura of a star. Not a Rock or Hogan, but a star nonetheless.

Mic- 9. Hes one of the best at believable promos that build up a match and get over his character's motivations. Not being an Enzo or Rock or Flair screaming and catchphrase doesnt make a boring, unmemorable promo.

8. Overpushed, but very good at just about every aspect of wrestling.

-Mic work/promos - he can cut a promo yes but if it wasn't pushing a feud or blow off match to emphasize its seriousness, his promos were hard to sit through..long winded promos talking about absolutely nothing while taking shots here and there on some unprofessional shyt..the whole promos with booker t were flat out disgusting...he also had a hard taking it too if someone dished it back to him and would become visibly perturbed and angry lol..give him a 5

-Personality/gimmicks - blueblood HHH is classic...HHH is a natural heel..the way this fukk carries himself just screams it..his energy its not likeable at all...he thinks he's more important than he is..heel through and through..as a face not as much...although in the DX's second incarnation, the face pops were there..heel HHH full monty; face HHH 3

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) - whatever you want to say about Triple H but you cant front on his ring work in his prime..the best matches hes ever had were with foley and the rock...his 2000s run was classic..dude was having classics with damn near everyone major...even had a great match with taka michinoku of all ppl..the pedigree is a classic finisher..was perfectly of carrying his weight in a match..after the quad injuries..he was done and in fact regressed considerably which lowers his rating to about 7

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) - Paul Levesque is a very very insecure guy...yes he came up in the era of rock and austin which pretty much means he was not the main guy at all..his attempts in recent years to change that narrative is nothing short of pathetic...he is a coward who got hands put on him by canadian fans outside the arena after the screwjob...he is indirectly related to the death of chyna....he is the lone member of the Kliq who doesn't have a cool factor in his body..a bodybuilder from new hampshire = no swag...couldn't even crossover to hollywood :russ:..known for playing a shytty vampire in the worst of the 3 blade movies :bryan:...had to marry the boss's daughter to stay in cadence with wrestlers he is linked to who have gone on to hollywood with big or significant success outside of wrestling (rock, batista)....now if he was more of a team player and not out for self he could have had a more favorable legacy instead one word solidifies his legacy: politicking..no matter what he does now an executive and with shows like nxt he will never escape that..and he brought it all on himself

give him a 6

This... is going to be a tough one for me.

Full disclosure, HHH in his early days was a really good wrestler. He didnt have much to work with but he would bump around really well and would have glimpses of psychology during a time where WWE werent having an abundance of good-great matches.

The Curtain Call was a huge turning point. He wasnt just a guy with a stupid gimmick anymore. He was HBK's boy. This would speak volumes throughout the rest of his career. Pre screwjob, he found himself as somewhat of a lackey to Shawn which continued through Wrestlemania after which he takes the mantle of leader of DX. This is where his rise truly begins.

DX was over. Theres no denying it. And for better or worse the Connectcut Blue Blood, the REAL Double J, the 123 Kid and Rockabilly (:mjlol:) proved to be the perfect storm of late 90's closeted frat boy humor. It worked. After a fantastic feud with the Rock came the main event build.

HERE is where things fall off the rails. HHH is pushed with increasing importance each passing year since. Padded title reigns, going over on superior talents, long winded promos ever single week. All to put him on par with Austin and Rock. A height he would never truly reach in the eyes of longtime fans.

His self importance hurts him in my grade so i have to give him a 6. If he stayed in his lane he is a solid 7 or 8 overall but that endless push fukks up his overall.

So Cal
He gets a 10 from me

How many wrestlers ever had a year that Triple H had in 2000?
it was moreso his super booking than him. shyt is way different than i remember as a kid, I've been watching the shyt in amazement.

:skip:they really had rock feuding with fukking al snow so hhh could get into the main event picture. he completely buries an over as fukk test, gets title from big show, beats Mick foley ass. rock back into main event and hhh is whooping his ass on a weekly basis. :skip: John cena would never. had the crowd chanting "same ol bullshyt" during some of his shyt. loses to rock, whoops y2j ass, whoops kurt ass, etc.

now he did his shyt, no doubt a legend and all, but a bunch of others could have done that with that booking.

Nah on those
Wait so HHH 2000 was better than

  • Austin 96 - I'll listen to this argument
  • Austin 2000 - you're out of your fukkin mind, even injured Austin was the top guy when he was be on TV. If you don't believe me watch backlash 2000, who got the biggest pop that night? Rock Austin or HHH??
  • Austin 2001 - you're wrong
  • Rock 98 - you're wrong
  • Rock 99 - you're wrong
  • Brock 02 - I'll listen
  • Goldberg 98 - WOW. Maybe the best single year of a wrestler ever in terms of drawing power AND overness, but 00 HHH is better?
  • Warrior 89 - see the above
  • Warrior 90 - not even close
  • Undertaker 98 - I'll listen
  • Hbk 98 - I'll BARELY listen
  • Hbk 02 - HELL no
  • Aj styles 16 - IWGP champ, royal rumble debut, WWE champ...NO. NOT CLOSE.
  • Jericho 09 - whc, better worker, better character. No.
