This is is extremely hard, because I want to judge talent on what they were like as a performer but with Cripple H it's hard because his whole WWE career has involve political maneuvering of some sort.

I give him a Hitman special, 4

Mic Work: Strong on the mic, but not a great promo. It's like the indie rapper who can rap his ass off with long multis but cannot make a song from start to finish. Him doing a 20 min promo is pure ego driven and it ends up boring people then engaging them. Look at the Austin promos of the AE, he pretty much wrapped up everything in 10 mins. You just getting started at the 10min mark with his promos. The shoot comments did no one any favours, especially in the position he has been in for the past decade, when you're suppose to help get people over not shovel them.

Gimmick/Personality: Had some good gimmick names but he's been the same old Cripple H since the 90's , to me he never evolved alot like Cenas character.

Ring Work: Good hand, more gatekeeper type of wrestler. But once his second quad injury happen it was a wrap for him as a consistent performer. He was good in the ring up till the first quad injury, then when he came back was okish after that, but he clearly lost something. :pacspit: the sledgehammer BS.

His best feuds are with the two people who pretty much made him, Foley and The Rock.

:hhh: is the ultimate opportunist, let's be reality here, has anyone ever known anyone who is teetotal go out of their way to go and befriend a bunch of addicts.

Also it's :laff: putting :hhh: on the same level as Austin and Rock, let alone next to Foley who were cornerstones of the AE and have multiple moments and highlights from the era. What is Cripples, kidnapping Steph? The early DX was more coked and pilled out Michaels and being in awe of Chyna whether she she was a real women or born with meat and 2 vegetables instead and post Michaels, it is more DX the collective.

I know people will have mentioned the backstage/behind the scene stuff so there is no point in repeating it again.

Koalabama and the Cosmos
Strong 8 for me.

Say what you want about Trips but dude is the epitome of a BUSINESS man :wow:. He got into the game studying the understudies while he was a understudy and became a household name. He took advantage of the elites being on the shelf (Stone Cold, Rock, and Taker) and became the cerebral assassin. His promos are.....:ld: and his matches range from ok to legit (no classics:whoa:). Bottom line, he may get shyt for his way of getting to the top, but man as somebody who is semi pro business, I respect the hustle of this man:banderas:

Thinking about it now he is truly an opportunist besides stephanie

Michaels gets injured and leaves so he gets Dx
Taker and Austin leave so it's him and rock for most of the year
Austinncomes back and takes his spot and he seemingly lucks out wit an injury so he never plays 2nd fiddle
He comes back gets the belt
Doesn't go well but he escapes because the
Draft happens
He somehow avoids losing to or ever facing brock lesnar. Same guy who beat Hogan rock taker and made Austin quit
Then he has his pal shawn michaels returning to lose most of the time to him and he gets handed his own belt
Nobody left on the roster vince fukks wit on raw but wcw guys for hhh to bury
Gets his own ripoff stable of 4 horsemen

I don’t wanna write a bunch since I’m sure I’ve discussed dude here or other forums before and most of the major talking points have been covered. In fact @Nero Christ said a lot of what I was gonna (and with like the same vernacular :ehh:)

Firstly, I’m not afraid to say in the past I was a big fan of the guy :manny: I’m pretty indifferent to him now but way back when I rocked with him. Not as much as like, Rock or Austin, but still. When I do these reviews, the biggest things I take into consideration are that person’s match catalog, promowork, how their work holds up, and what their overall impression on me was. For Triple H, he’s always just seemed like a dude who, as said, did way too much. His promos are the epitome of that. He can talk, but it takes him 30 minutes to make his point. His promos are the verbal equivalent of that last minute essay you bullshytted on, basically repeating yourself every sentence in a paragraph just to meet the requirements. It got so bad every time I’d turn on RAW and see him on the screen I’d immediately change the channel.

In the ring, he can (or atleast could) go. His peak run is still late 99 to early 01, but he had some good work after that. Just not much of it between 2002 till early 2004 anyway. And that’s kind’ve to me what hurts his profile. He’s not this elite worker who’s got a boatload of classics to his name, like a Bret, or Angle, or HBK. He’s not a name that transcended the business like Hogan, Austin, or Rock. He’s not on the Taker level of this hugely respected vet with this mystique to his name. He’s not like hugely inferior to any of those guys, but it’s those differences between them and him that make it hard to say, justify having him spearhead RAW for all those years while having bad feuds and bad matches, going over whitehot talent in the process. That make it hard to justify doing that same thing in a veteran role, going over a CM Punk. That make it hard to justify him coming back every Mania and more or less shoehorning himself into the card. He’s basically not the worst of the worst, but he’s not as good as he thinks he is. And that’s reflected itself in these reviews. For the entertainment he gave me, I give him a 7, but he’s also a guy who I totally understand earning 1’s & 2’s from others on here.

For favorite promos, I have none.

Favorite matches would include vs. Rock over the years, vs. Cactus Jack at RR & No Way Out, No Way out 01 vs. Austin, SSlam 02 vs. HBK, the triple threats with HBK & Benoit, End of an Era, vs. Bryan, and with Evolution vs. the Shield

I give him a 2.

I see some people talking about some legendary promos he's done.... Show me. All his promos are boring and any legendary promos he's done is where someone is shytting on him(rock, punk)

Some people say he has legendary matches. Show me. And don't show me any shyt where he's carried or another person is bumping their ass off(like foley) for him to get over. 99% of HHHs matches are slow, plodding and predictable and his moveset is shyt.

The only thing I give him props for is his work ethic in keeping himself in shape. He has creative control and will go over no matter how shyt he looks or not, so credit to him for finding the right pharmaceutical combination and workout regimen to keep him in shape.
