I think ppl shyt on Orton because he doesn't do Neckbeard favorites like super kicks, suicide dives, moonsaults, or MMA based strikes. Orton style is like a old school hoss like Barry Windham, Bruiser Brody, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy. When I watch Orton, it's like watching a WCW match in 1991. I like tha fact that he doesn't try to do all the moves that 99% of wrestlers today spam.

I don't think you understand how much you just disrespected these guys lol or WCW in general, he'd 100% be one of the worst workers on WCW 91-92

Randell Keith is an interesting topic, overall he'd probably be in my top 10-15 favorite all time list, but he kinda sucks but was kinda good. Extremely hard to rank him. I will say he's been completely and utter shyt since 2011 (for some reason I view his 2011 SD run fondly but that's probably because of Christian and HENRY). Also his evolution run wasn't that bad

I will say he is VASTLY overrated as a in ring performer, it's actually laughable he was ever known as >Cena

It's not always about in the ring, it's entertaining people in general, and out of 15 years of Orton on my TV, he's been entertaining about 4 of those, 5 maaaaay be a stretch. That's terrible for a guy in the spotlight as long as him.

Bland, monotone, fukkboy who's incapable of convincingly conveying any emotion except anger and has been involved in fewer entertaining moments than any long term main eventer I can think of off the top of my head.

Gave him a 3.5 and rounded down to a 3 on account of him being an even bigger steaming pile of dog shyt outside of the ring than he is as a performer.

I remember a time where he had some good promos, but honestly, he was never very good at talking, face or heel. He was pretty decent for a couple years, but I can only think of a few standout promos. Actually, his promo in 2014 going after The Authority is probably the only standout I can even remember.

Personality/gimmicks: 5
He peaked in 2009 and was probably never capable of more than that. He was red hot as a face for a year, but he became as stale as white bread in tap water once Henry beat him for the title. He's never really been someone to challenge himself and reinvent his character. Even Seth Rollins said as much. He should have been the hottest heel in the business in 2013, but he couldn't even rise to the occasion there and became even more uninteresting.

He was never a world class wrestler either. A lot of his best work was when he was younger because after 2009, he became pretty complacent. 2011 was the last time he was firing on all cylinders. I mean, he got to work with CM Punk, Christian, and Henry and he held his own for most of those matches. Nowadays, his matches are only as good as his opponents (Styles, Nakamura). Plus, he was part of one of the worst world championship matches in WrestleMania history.

I would have given him a 6, but after remembering what a piece of shyt he is outside the ring, I don't think he deserves it. I can't remember the last main event guy to be given so many accomplishments and opportunities yet be such an underachiever. People will look at his resumé and assume he is one of the best of all-time. Looking back, he is someone that should have done a lot more as a performer but just didn't. He's been coasting to a ridiculous degree for a long time now and I'm starting to wonder why he's still there. Every opportunity he's had in the past few years to get his spark back (The Authority, RKO outta nowhere, the Wyatt Family, etc.) has been wasted. He ruined Kofi's main event push by being an unprofessional, whiny baby. He hasn't been one of the best in the business in six years, and he hasn't been the best in eight years. He's having the worst year of his career. I can't remember the last person he's been able to get over. He was born with glass bones and paper skin. The best part about him at this point is his finisher and theme music. He's as done as a wet food stamp.

He's essentially a useless version of John Cena right now.

Now is the time to start transitioning Randy into that Kane/Big Show spot: upper midcarder with main event cred that can be used to get other people over. He's inching closer to 40 and his best days are behind him. They still use him like he's a big deal top guy, but beyond the RKO, I think people are over him.

Was gonna come through with a complete write-up, but I'll just add to this. Orton was most interesting when he broke his arm doing those RNN update vids, as Legend Killer Orton (favorite matches were Evolution vs Rock & Foley, vs Undertaker), during his feuds with Christian and mark Henry in 2011, and during Bryan's rise, which was only cause he LOOKED like a champion holding 2 belts, but he was mostly HHH's bytch. That makes up about 4-5 years out of FIFTEEN year career. That is an awful ratio for a guy who's had such a massive spotlight. He's mostly been a terrible face, and a more than decent heel, and more than decent was basically all his Legend Killer stuff. Can't front on that, that was money. Most people have said how awesome his punting phase was, but even that was some weak shyt. So damn overblown. And Legacy....Jesus Christ, that was one of the most worthless stables of all time, and the only thing it managed to do was expose how much Cody and Ted Jr weren't ready to be showcased yet. Funny enough, Orton has had some bad matches and unmotivated times, but his current run may be the worst of his career. Dude didn't bother to change his appearance as a Wyatt member, ended up feuding with Bray in a WOAT story-line with a WOAT WM match, mentally sandbagged the entire story-line with Jinder (until the best match they had on SD, clearly motivated cause he was winning) and just overall looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but wrestling. 15 years of Orton, and he amounts to a guy that's had a cool theme, cool entrance, cool taunt, cool finisher and flat-lines at everything else. Decent mic skills, decent look (basically the best CAW you can make), good in the ring when matched up against good-great people, and lazy when matched up with people at or below his level. I originally voted him a 7, but I feel like I should really go lower. That 7 is mostly for his finisher, theme, taunt, and his general success, even if that success was mostly inflated. Similar to Edge, but I was more favorable in my Edge assessment. A bit of a positive I'll add is that Orton took quite a few losses before he had turned heel during that era of Bryan's rise. He was eating all kinds of pins before Cena during that time.

This was probably a top 5 Orton match for me, due to how much Cesaro obliterated Orton in the last 30 seconds. shyt looked like something from Marvel vs Capcom.

Overall i give a 1. He is Terry Taylor with better friends in the business. He was eclipsed by cena, batista, brock, lashley, jericho, and given more chances than all of them, and mania main events that flopped. Orton is garbage...almost jeff jarrett status but thats negative territory.
