I'm going with 8. Could work with just about anyone, but when he was off, he was OFF, had those dark years with the drugs and whatnot. When he was truly on, he was as good as anyone ever, imo. He took a giant leap up in 2002 when he got clean, but I've always felt like he was somewhat martyred by WWE when he died, and that has kind of increased his legacy more than it would have been naturally had he kept going a few more years and retired. But when he was at his best, he was basically untouchable. It's just a shame that his truly best didn't come out as often as it should have due to his issues. Even his clearly strung the fukk out periods are better than most guys' peaks.

Mic work/promos - I'll give him a 7...only because late into his WWE stint dude turned into a GREAT promo..he wasnt a bad promo in WCW or ECW but nothing that stood out
Personality/gimmicks - eddie was cool as a pure babyface, one hell of a dikkish heel, and gold as a tweener..WCW it seemed like it was night and day..one minute he was

; the next he was all :demonic:
Eddie%20Guerrero.jpg
..in WWE he shined some more on that front..give him a 9

Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) - full monty. so many good/great matches..not just with the luchadors (i.e vs rey Mysterio at HH) but with the big boys as well..i mean he had an interesting feud with JBL and even got a :wow: match out of him (half of that wow was for the insane blade job)...best frog splash of all time by the way..gotta make sure thats mentioned

Overall - 8.5..For the 11 years that I watched him he never failed to entertain...owen is raw remains the saddest wrestling show i ever watched, but the raw is eddie is very close to that....esp without all the demons dude had to overcome..it was sad...dude wasn't on that ATG list of draws but was one level underneath..Viva La Raza!!

what are eddies best matches?

Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero [Halloween Havoc 1997, Title vs Mask]

Dean Malenko vs Eddie Guerrero [ECW Hostile City Showdown 1995, ECW World Television Title Match]

Eddie Guerrero vs JBL [Judgment Day 2004, WWE Title Match]

Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle [Wrestlemania 20, WWE Title Match]

That's just a small sample of his best matches. He has many more. I'll try to post some other ones throughout the week.

I gave him a 9.
Mic work in WCW was spotty
Persona. The guy was gold as either a hero or heel. My fav Eddie moment powerbombing Lita on the floor, the matches against Rey for Dominic. The feud against Kurt was godly.
In ring work. In a very elite category of greats.

Eddy was a goat.
To the point, he was such a good hand at physical mannerism to sell a situation or match.
In his early wcw days.
he actually supplied the only actual quality to the nwo in the syxx feud and all he got to do was chase syxx for his stolen us title in a cowboy hat.

Also, in wcw he should have had a world title run.
When wcw should have passed the torch to rey mysterio in a continued legacy title run era for flair that was passed on to mysterio and eddy.
Where wcs should have had rey beat ric flair for the title.
when flair got his last title reign over Jarrett.
In that situation it was perfectly set up for a heel eddy to swag the title away from rey.
where both rey, and eddy got put in the me. Where eddy was still lording over mysterio and made mysterio wear the lwo shirt dress. In that wcw got racist and did not let rey go over flair. When that was the logical booking and should have been a legscy passing of the torch from ric to rey and then eddy.
While it could have created good will to the original pre nwo wcw fans.
with rey getting the rub and passing of rhe torch from flair and also it was interwoven in a come up for rey and of course eddy manipulating the situation to eventually take the title off rey.
Sad to say wcw could not see the Forrest for the trees.
As that run could have put them in a good place Content wise.
after the whole Jarrett as champ fiasco and the good will they created with flair's last title reign as well.

Instead we got more bullshyt and wcw was eventually no more.

Still looking for the pre vignette.
that should have setup the rey and eddy wcw world title run before the rey mysterio flair match.
