Ring- hes gotta be a 10. He was a great mechanic, but also had the facial expressions/working the crowd down too. He could make matches with just about anyone make sense/believable. One of the greats.

Mic- 6. Not bad, but never his strong suit imo. Never was that believable on the mic as a heel or face for whatever reason. He showed a lot of personality with his physical acting/facial expressions moreso than his mic work imo.

Star Power/Charisma- 9. He knew how to get over. He showed a ton of personality in his entrance, facial expressions in the ring, etc. Even without the legitimacy of a big push and wins earlier in his career he stayed over and was one of the more over heels in 97 WCW. Missing a little bit of main event credibility to be a 10.

Overall-8. I see why some give him a 9 or 10, on a personal level hes a great rather than all time favorite to me.

10 without doubt from me, the man embodied everything you would want in a wrestler. You also can see the impact he still has on wrestling today and yet proves himself to be a step ahead of most. A lot of guys now claim Eddie is an inspiration but very few of them know how to tell a story in the ring and truly make themselves the underdog that the crowd will cheer no matter what, and pop for every comeback. He also proved how impactful he was with modern wrestling again when he unfortunately passed, and a lot of fans left and never came back.

I'm upset that i didnt appreciate him as much as i should have while he was here. I really caught onto the Eddie train during the Smackdown 6 phase, altho i had bought the When Worlds Collide tape online back in the day and had a Best of Eddy tape to rock with it. Definitely could have been a gamechanger for the WWE as he was really catching fire when he passed in terms of character, appearance, ringwork, crowd appeal, and trust from the office.

Let's drop those 10's off. Eddie made become a fan of wwe, before his championship run in smackdown I was just watching it because I didn't have cable. The only celebrity I actually teared up when I heard they died. Michael Jackson didn't even make me feel like that. As a kid watching him every week I really felt like I knew him. My favorite wrestler of all time no debate. Viva la rasa.

Compared to Macho Man, Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Rock... he's missing something. Eddie Guerrero in a match vs somebody can only feel so big compared to certain top main eventers. That's all I'm getting at. Eddie was a legit main eventer, but generally his matches don't feel like special events like some guys' do. His star power is below an Undertaker or Goldberg, so I put him at a 9 rather than a 10.

Nah...the crowd was about into Eddie's matches as much as anyone post 03. Lol@dare bringing up a heat vacuum like Lesnar...what is going on? Lol.

Ten isn't high enough. Once he found his stride on the microphone, he was pure gold. He could do serious work and seamlessly flip between serious and comedic with little effort. He always felt believable in the ring thanks to an incredible ability to work with wrestlers of seemingly every size bracket and could market as both an underdog and the bridge to Latino wrestling fans thanks to so much of his identity in the ring being tied to his lineage and the pride he took in it along with his dad, his brothers, and his nephew. He could work with luchadors, he could wrestle the mat game with guys like angle or Benoit, he could fit in a brawling style, and he never felt out of place as the smaller guy facing guys like taker or Brock either. His connection to the crowd was like one I've ne we seen either. We've seen plenty of wrestlers get booked as a face and get booed out of the building. How many guys have we seen turn heel and the crowd simply refuses to boo them? He's the only example I can recall. In fact I would argue that they never really found a way to fill the void left behind when he died. An all time great if there ever was one :smugeddie:
