His 1998 was some top tier shyt. Especially amazing considering how he literally went from bleh tag matches to a month of meh singles matches to suddenly being like a top 5 guy on a WCW roster full of absolute killers. Came out of nowhere. 1999-2001 is a big drop off from that quality, and 2001 in WWF was bad for everyone from WCW. Raw in 2002 through WM 19 was really built around making Booker a huge face, and it totally worked. His work with Goldust was always a highlight of Raw during that period, but I really feel like after WM 19, he was never the same as a performer. Injuries and age, plus what I have to assume was a loss of faith in his bosses led to a pretty subpar years after that. King Booker annoyed the shyt out of me, and it's a shame he finally got the title years after he was past his prime.
But 1998
. Book's 1998 is on par with just about anyone's single year.
I give him an 8 overall.
