He is the definition of a an average wrestler. The overrated opinion of his work on here is not surprising. I can't think of a single classic match of his except with AJ.

6...he had charisma, was ok in the ring when he wasn't crippling guys. I don't remember much of him on the mic. He was a solid hand, mid card at best, transitional Inc champ, I think a 6 is fair

I'm torn between giving him a 6 or a 7. On the one hand, he was a great low-midcard guy who was very solid in-ring and had a good amount of charisma. The chest protector gimmick was so simple but we all remember it 18 years later. His taunts were classic. I prefer his frog splash to Eddie or RVD's version. His moveset was shytting on most WWE guys in 98, 99

On the other hand, he was only really relevant for a short time if we're being honest :patrice:

D'Lo always been a personal favorite.

Objectively if I'm gonna say someone like The Rock is a 10 I'd have to give D'Lo a 6 :hubie:

-Mic work/promos: 5. How much mic time did he ever get? I can't remember anything other than him yelling and shaking his head.

-Personality/gimmicks: 7. Loved the chest-protector/European title run.

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 6. He had a number of good matches with Val Venis, X-Pac, and Jeff Jarrett.

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 6. Good wrestler & good character during his initial singles run.

Leaning between a 6 and 7. I went with 6 because even though he was a great Attitude Era midcarder, his career fell off a cliff after his push. He randomly teamed with Chaz then started wearing a turban. :wtf:

On a side note this made me think of Patrice O'Neal's story about Tiger Ali Singh and Vince McMahon. :mjlol: The story is near the 4 minute mark.

I wanted to create a separate thread for the Patrice O'Neal WWE stories

How did he underperform? He was a solid worker but was just in an era stacked with talent.

Was gonna ask the same. He never wrestled past his status on the card. His matches with X-Pac, Val Venis, Bulldog and other were as good as they pretty much were supposed to be. Kind of weird he never wrestled past what his status on the card was even at his hottest, but during that period, there were just too many elite guys.

But...even Test and Billy Gunn got world title shots, so idk

He was over but what classic matches did he have? Money promos? He had a wall..guys like Jericho, Bryan, Eddie..they kept rising. He never meant anything after 99.
