Bryan. Not a knock on Punk, but dude visibly coasts when he's in there with someone he perceives as being below his level and most of dude's promos (post Pipebomb) started sounding the same after the Jericho feud, face or heel.

That being said, I'd mark like a motherfukker if Cult of Personality/This Fire Burns plays and dude returns.

Daniel Bryan was a fabulous wrestler who talked better than people thought he could.

CM Punk was a damn good talker who did not wrestle as well as he thought he did.

Daniel Bryan is better than CM Punk.

That whole "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME" entrance was :ohlawd: though.

never liked punk. good on the mic. didnt care about his matches. his elbow drop is the worst ever.

This elbow drop comment made me laugh because yes, it's totally accurate but Punk doesn't move that well in the ring AT ALL. Like, you can tell he wasn't good at sports. He has those bow legs and his kicks look utterly ridiculous. He just isn't smooth in the slightest. He generally tells good stories, but as a technical worker, he is mediocre. Bryan on the other hand is one of the smoothest wrestlers to ever get in the ring. His movement is just flawless and can look very realistic. I realise OP is talking about the full package but ring wise, it's not even a contest.

Punk. Injuries stopped Bryan just as he was getting things going as a main event guy, but if they didn't happen, he would've surpassed Punk.
He did surpass punk. He was the only guy to get the crowd behind him in Chicago before WM30 after Punk left.

Indeed.

It mostly depends on what you value more. Have to ask yourself which was superior: DB's wrestling or Punk's promos/storytelling?

Gotta be Bryan IMO. Always liked Punk but I feel as a worker he was more limited than Bryan - he had good psychology to make up for it.

Bryan was also very underrated as a character in WWE. His heel run just before and during Team Hell No really made him twice as over as he already was and he was one of my favourite parts of Raw in that time from 2012 to 2013.

I'd be more interested in Daniel Bryan's comeback so I'm going with him. I got a feeling Punk would coast on hype.
