While other methods of heat try to draw disdain, "nuclear heat" (also known as "X-Pac heat", due to X-Pac becoming a notorious example of the concept) is when the fans legitimately dislike the character (and sometimes the person playing that character). This kind of heat can often be piled onto wrestlers who are viewed negatively, either for their booking, their character or even actions outside of the show.

Umm HELL no. And I think the term X-Pac heat started during his 00'-01' X-factor stable run not his 98' DX run.

I feel like a lot of folks started watching wrestling during the attitude era and weren't "smart" to the biz at the time, now try to go back and watch only to wind up viewing thru nostalgic eyes. That's the only way to believe that xpac was a gold mine of quality heel heat during the xfactor days. Like dude above said, no one is talking about 123 kid or DX era pac
X-Pac Heat.
He was, by far, the LEAST popular person in DX.
He had no classic matches or rivalries, he had no popular catchphrases, he had a bronco buster.
He was treated like the annoying sidekick, because that's what he was.
He was the Unpopular Person surrounded by VERY popular people.
Even his DX theme was terrible, and sounded like somehting he begged that lead singer to do, which he then did in his living room alone.
Because there was no bass or drum or anything to his theme, you could LITERALLY hear how much the crowd didn't give a shyt when he came out.
The silence was deafening.

I can see why people were annoyed by him with the over animated antics, but I always
@ him for always overdoing the crotch chops. Everybody else does 2 while x-pac does like 9 of them. He was like the mascot of dx.
He was popular in DX in 98 and most of 99 until he turned on Kane in 99. It was more than heat..they were chanting X Pac SUCKS nonstop like he was Hassan. Got worse in 2000 and 2001.

Honestly X-Pac heat isnt as bad as Eva Marie or Stephanie McMahon heat. But people would have you believe theyre great heels too

. X_Pac heat started in 2001 because he was stale as fukk and it got so bad Edge had to drop that Ether on him.
