Future Gohan>>>>>>>Future Gohan and Trunks. I love the fact that Goku and Vegeta's Sons were the last defense for Earth. They just didn't get the trainning they needed once everyone died and with Piccolo death they couldn't use the Dragon Balls to wish people back. To me the storyline really made Dragon Ball Great and is the reason I love the Cell Saga and Android Saga as well as The Red Ribbon Saga so much. It's a deep story. When Trunk first turned Super Saiyan was so Epic in the rain. It's like you didn't think he could follow up the Kid Goku storyline which was great or the Freeza storyline which was epic. Then he dropped this whole storyline and just made the franchise even more Legendary.

Almost shed a tear when Trunks killed the Androids and said "This is for Gohan"

Gohan knew Trunks potential, saving himself probably would of been smarter cause he was definitely stronger than Trunks. But he truely believed Trunks would be powerful and Future Gohan was right. Future Gohan loved Trunks like a little brother. Remember Goten is never born in his timeline so to Gohan, Trunks was all he had so he gave him the bean to protect him. Future Trunks viewed Gohan as a father figure since Vegeta wasn't around.
The Z Fighters would not have been able to beat Cell or the Androids without Trunks Help. It's weird, Future Gohan is nothing like main timeline Gohan when he grows up. Same with Trunks. It seems saving the World and being a peace made them weaker fighters as they grew up. When sh!t was real we saw what Gohan became. One of my all time favorite DBZ episodes was Trunks coming back to the future and Handing out that Ether to both Androids:

I'm not saying Trunks wasn't a G or anything like that cuz he def lived through some shyt. Dude just went on a downward spiral to cornball status after taking out Freiza and his pops.

If Trunks didn't come back in time, we saw the future, everyone dies period. Nobody was surviving The Andriods. Just him hoping in the time machined saved humanity. And remember it's Goku fault the whole Android program took off. The whole purpose of the program was to get revenge on Goku for attacking Muscle Tower and Red Ribbon Headquarters:

Could you imagine the excitement of going to the past to see everyone, bonding with the z-warriors while meeting your father, only to return to your time where mankind is damn near extinct and all the people you've recently bonded with are gone as well
